What do you put on the back of your cards when you make them? Is there a speciality stamp that you can recommend?
I usually just take a mini stamp and then put my initials next to it, but now I'm looking for something more formal.
TIA,
Ginger
Hi Ginger,
I have an Elzybells Art Stamps (UK) set which I love and use alot. There are lots of different ones in the set suitable for cards that you make for friends, family or sell. Here is the link. I especially love the one that says: 'I made this card - you can't throw it away. Nope, not ever'.
I like to use a coordinating stamp for the back to match the front. I will stamp it off so it is faint and then put my homemade for you by stamp on top of it. It is a Stampin' Up! one. I am looking to update that stamp when I see what they have in the new catty!

Thanks for the link ... they've got some great stuff!! Can't wait for my order to arrive.
I have several generic "stamped by" stamps, plus one with my name from Seaside Stampin. I use that one the most. My fave to add though, says "Handstamped because I can't draw." (Just For Fun)

I have a few, the normal ones that have my name on them from Su, and the ones where I can put my initials. My 2 favorites are, one is a barcode symbol, like store bought cards, but it says priceless, where the price would be, and the other, says "if this were a Hallmark, it wouldn't look this good"
I actually did a search on ebay for personalised stamps, there are HEAPS of companies that will do various ones for you. You can either do ones that have a image or not, with or without your blog / address and pretty much anything else!
Until that arrived I was just using a kazier (i spelt that wrong) stamp that just said handstamped by: in a circle and space to write you name.
I had a stamp made by a local office supply store that says "lovingly made by Paula" done in my handwriting. It's a self inking stamp so it's always in front of me. Then I write the year underneath the stamp, and finally I use one of my thousands of stickers from back in the day on top of the stamp. To me it makes it look a little more special and uses up all those stickers (yeah right, like I'll ever use up all those stickers).

Thank you all for the great stamps & links! I'm going to buy a few. Here's my favorite, that I used as a kind of logo, from SU's Dreams and Dragons. I just love his sly expression.

I use multiple stamps. If it's a card I'm selling it has my name and then my Studio name, and if it's a personal card I made for someone I have a stamp of my signature
Initially I made a rubberstamp that is Handmade by. However, the rubber dried up and chipped off. So now I print my company name and logo on transparent stickers from Avery and stick it to the back of my cards.
One of the good things about that pitiful little Heirloom Productions show last weekend in Costa Mesa (CA) is that I came home with an assortment of more stamps to use on the back.
How pitiful was that Heirloom show? There is one here in SC in a week or two and I had considered going...no good, huh? Too few vendors?

Yup....this is what I do too. This makes it quick and easy. On cards I make to sell, I also add the Angel policy verbiage and TM symbol. I can't tell you how many orders I've received from the contact info on those little stickers! ;)
Blessings,
Kat

I was just planning on ordering a personalised stamp from Stampin' Up! and was looking for something different to put.
Thanks for sharing all your ideas!

I got mine from Close to My Heart. $9.95 Cdn. You can use your full address or make up your own saying...created with love.. just for you..handmade - do not destroy!..etc.
I got clear labels and printed on them the information I want to include, since I have a blog, I put that on there too. This way it blends into the background, but you can still see it well enough to read too.
i have a really old SU "angel policy" set, which has their "stampin' up!" at the very bottom of each stamp. i've been using it for years. and when i don't use SU products, i just tape off the little part that has the company name on it, cause i love the little designs. i also sign and date the back, under the stamped image.
i had a personalized stamp, but it was cheap and fell apart after a year. i may invest in a new one sometime in the next few months.

When you go to River City Rubber Works, you might want to browse through their sayings. Since that is your sense of humor, I think you may find a whole bunch of funny sayings for cards (not stamps for the backs of your cards)....their sayings crack me up !
