Default Baby Book Inspiration Needed

Happy Tuesday. Two weeks ago I went to a scrapbooking/cardmaking convention and was at the mega make and take. One of the Items we received was a 8x10 album that contains sheets for 4x6 photos. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it at first. Then, I decided to make it into a baby album for a friend who is having her first baby. After a lot of thought, I came up with a partial plan.

I am sealing thick envelopes and then cutting off one of the sides to create a pocket for journaling cards (made out of 5x7 double sided lined index cards cut in half) with a tab on them for grabbing the cards out of the envelope. This will be mounted to a 4x6 piece of cardstock. My rough draft is below, but I don't know how to resize the image, sorry. I plan to decorate the front of each card with patterned paper, a title and image. This is where I am struggling. I have a stamp set from Echo Park that label the first 12 months. I don't have any idea how to narrow down what image I should pair with them. I don't have a ton of baby themed stamps. Also, they are waiting until the baby is born to learn the baby's sex. So, everything needs to be gender neutral. Any inspiration you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I want this to be special.

I don't have a lot of design inspiration to contribute other than things you've already considered. Of course, hearts of all "shapes" and sizes are always a sweet go-to. There are so many pretty shades of earth tones, yellows, and greens being used these days that will make the gender neutral theme a bit easier.
Mostly, I just wanted to commend you for creating such a special gift for your friend! No matter what images, papers, and colors you choose it will be one of a kind and very meaningful. I'm sure she will treasure it!

How about a jungle theme, which is a very popular baby theme now? Or you could use bunnies or sheep , which would be available in Easter themed stamps. Maybe teddy bears? Penny Black has lots of them, and they are also made by any company that does critter stamps. Do you have Lawn Fawn stamps? Most of their stamps would make cute baby designs. Good luck with your project, it sounds cute.

I have made a few books with one page for each month. Many parents have stickers that say 1 month, 2 months, etc. they take a picture and post to social media. There are blankets that they use as a background
You can make use your month stamps and use the same theme for all pages, maybe a teddy bear or something along those lines. Do they have a nursery theme? Gender neutral is very popular now. My niece has two little ones (girl and boy) many clothes can be worn by either, browns and natural colors are popular. if I find picture of what I have done I will link here.

Thank you all so much for the ideas. I have a lot to ponder. I can’t believe I didn’t think about critter stamps. I have a ton. I guess I was too focused on baby stamps I didn’t think of all the things that would work. I think I will have fun combining a lot of the ideas shared. Again, thank you so much!

If you can, snap a photo (or two, or three...) of your project and update us when you're all done! I'd love to see what you come up with. <3
