Hi all. I want to place an order and waited until August hoping SU would be running some specials. Am I correct that SU will have no specails in August? BooHoo.

Claudia, Stampin' Up! randomly does specials. Near the end of last year, they did quite a few months in a row, which was a bit unusual for them. The specials are usually available for everyone.

It was discussed on the demo side last week (someone had heard it from DS). I am no longer a demo, so I can't go find the thread now. I hope I'm not spreading a false rumor! :???:

There will be some sort of recruiting special sometime this month, but DS is being very closed-mouthed about it (guess they know that it's impossible to keep these things secret...wonder why they think that? :shock: :mrgreen: I aksed the last time I called and was told, "Keep watching the demo website, it should be posted soon!" I'm still watching.....
I hope they have a recruit special. I have one who is just waiting for school registration to be over (next week) and another who wants to sign, but...... this may be just the thing to get her to sign up soon. For my other recruit it will be an added bonus for her.

Honestly, I don't expect any recruitment specials until after the Sellebration Specials. It just doesn't make business sense to have them at this point. But, I would go ahead and sign up. The fact that you get 30 % off your first order is awesome! Especially if you did like an open house or something. That would really help get you the income you need to get your business going.
Well, I guess the question is, do they really need more incentives to get people to join up now? The new catalog is out, and I would say that the time of year that sells most stamps is during the holidays, so they shouldn't have to put out extra to get demonstrators to sell for them this time of year. Come around March or April, there are no longer big incentives for people to want to become a demo, so that is when they would want to push extra items to become one. Now of course, I am not a demo for any company, but I have been around enough in the business world to get a feel for when this sort of stuff should happen. I could be wrong of course.

I think it'd be good no matter what I'll probably sign no matter what (I JUST found out I have to have surgery TOMORROW ). Now it's just about re-assuring DH that we'll have the money for it...
