Default Attitude

Attitude

The longer I live,
The more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company, a church, a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we embrace for that day.
We cannot change our past,
We cannot change the fact that people act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only think we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.
I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you
We are in charge of our attitudes.

My boss passed this out today to the Rotarians. Thought it was good.

I agree. I have a huge poster on my classroom wall that reads: "Attitude is Everything!"

Great quote! It's actually by Charles Swindoll (author and pastor) and is from his book Strengthening Your Grip, originally published in the 80's. It has been used widely by many different companies like Neiman Marcus and others, and is sometimes quoted as "anonymous" (as it has also been paraphrased, etc.) although it is directly from him. It's one of my favorites!

Hey has anyone ever read a book called "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff"? It has something of value too. Very appropriate post btw Kymbers.

Thanks for posting. Always good to have words of wisdom. Often we get too involved in life and lose track of the important stuff!
