Personally, I'm thinking your fiancee needs to get a life and realize that the BRIDE picks these sorts of things! Men need to worry about other stuff... like yelling at the coach on TV who can't hear a word he's saying and trying not to scratch in public. Pick the color YOU want because 6 months later, he isn't going to remember it anyway. (And if he does... you may want to re-think the whole wedding thing...)
Amen, sister.
I've been married 18 years to the man who wanted to give me and my mom all kinds of input for the reception, but honestly, he wouldn't have noticed one way or the other. I learned that *later*, but at least I learned it. LOL
Pick what you love, make up the sample, and show him the fabulous invitation you made from what he suggested. :-)
I don't really know SU colours but congratulations and I vote with the Hide the one he likes (or put it in a "safe" place) and then make it up with the one you like and say "but that is the one you picked" and bat your eyelashes at him and maybe kiss him passionately - that will soon distract him into thinking more about the honeymoon than the wedding ;)
Congrats Jessica!! I'd go with So Saffron (even though it's not my fave, it's the best of the yellow imo.), white petals, yellow center. I also LOVE the idea of a little bit of stickles for the flower center. You need just a tiny bit of bling for your wedding, right?
Sound advice from one married 26 years to the same man, who still yells at coaches who can't hear him and barely refrains from scratching in public.
ROTFLMBO!!
Since I painted my craft room So Saffron, that is my vote, too. Love that color, and I'm not much of a 'yellow' person.
As far as whether or not you should color the daisies, are you having traditional daisies or gerbera daisies for your wedding? I would do what ever matches.
Like other posters have suggested, I think you should make up some samples, post them, and we can vote!!
It wasn't really a 'fight' per say....he's just as artsy as me and I learned this evening that he didn't actually look at the swatches I as showing him. He thought, based on cooking, that saffron was more orange, so he wasn't a huge fan of that. Now that he's looked at it, he likes the So Saffron.
And now I have also redesigned the invitation....again. Apparently, we're doing a shabby chic looking theme that is going to include the daisies....thanks to my grandmother and the use of her Lenox Butterfly Meadows dishes for the reception.

Ooo....This sounds wonderful!! And to be able to use your Grandmother's Lenox Butterfly Meadows dishes. Wow!! that's going to one wonderful Wedding Reception.
27 and yes, I'm sure. I thought that after my first marriage, I wouldn't do it again, but here I am head over heels. He's fantastic and we're perfect together.
And yay to Butterfly Meadows! I forgot to mention that I have the dishes too, so we're going to have plenty of them. Oooh so exciting.
About those daisies ... will you have gerbera daisies or daisy daisies? There's a beautiful die cut/embossed daisy that just seems so made for wedding invitations, made by Spellbinders. Here's a card (not a wedding card)someone made using it: Daisy Edgeabilities by LynniePoo at Splitcoaststampers

That is a gorgeous die! I want it and I'm not getting married!
That turned out REALLY nice! What a great job you did! Did you stamp ON the vellum or on the layer underneath?
I'm sorry...I wasn't very specific. I uploaded it on my blog and not in the gallery, so I didn't even think about it...
The daisy is stamped on the vellum with Whisper White, So Saffron, and Always Artichoke craft ink. I let them sit and dry for about 3 days, then printed the invites on Whisper White CS and stuck them inside, punched the holes with my Crop A Dial, and then laced the ribbon through. Clean and simple and elegant, I think. That's what I wanted.
