I have to admit I was getting a bit jealous seeing all these nice stamp rooms you ladies have, but then I was reminded what I always tell my children. Appreciate what you have and make the most of it.
So that is what I'm doing. I only have a stamping storage closet, I have to stamp on my kitchen table. And since I received a big shot for xmas (doing the happy dance) I had to rearrange and make more room. Got lots of good ideas from looking at all the wonderful stamping rooms on SCS.
Since I am appreciating my stamping storage closet (maybe one day I'll have a room) I wanted to share it with you ladies and maybe it might help someone who is fortunate enough to have only a stamping storage closet.
Since I took these photos, I have added a metal strip on the peg board to store my punches, also got this idea from SCS ladies.
I'm jealous of your neatly organized stampin' supplies, it's not how much you have it's what you do with it.....
and just on another note, I give thanks everyday for all I have...I have all I need and then some!!! I am blessed! In many areas of life. Thanks for sharing your photos and comments, it was a great reminder for me.

Your closet is great. You have no reason to be jealous. The larger the space the more I seem to spread out. That means more to clean up!!! Efficiency is much more important than size.

I think you've got quite a nice space there. I'd take it. I've got all my stampin stuff in the same room I use for a home office as well as a play room for my two year old. ITS A MESS to say the least. Unless you are really organized having more space sometimes doesn't help.. I must say I too am jealous of some of these fantastic rooms and the amount of supplies I see that some of the SCS ladies have but I am thankful for what I've got thats for sure. Thanks for sharing!

Amen to that. My "stamp studio" is a front bedroom that is a chaotic mess right now. I'm too ashamed to take a photo and post it here. Kudos for a nice efficient spot. I think I need to take everything out of my room and start over using your method of efficiency. My place is a big dump.
Jealous....who could be jealous. If you all could only see the teeny little corner of my kitchen with an old computer desk in it with all my stuff stacked in rubbermaid containers, you'd be drooling. Hold yourselves back ladies...it's all mine.
Seriously I am thankful that I moved my stuff out of my really cold stamping room out to the warm kitchen. I am also thankful that even if I can't afford any new toys right now, I still have plenty to play with.
Thanks for reminding us that we should be thankful. I admit I get jealous when seeing some of those beautiful craft rooms, including my daughter's, but it doesn't last long. I have a wonderful family, a job I enjoy, and good friends. What more could I really ask for?
Thank you for the reminder ;) I too have a closet. But I found this cool cube thing at Target last night and talked my dh into letting me put up in our room. Now it's right by my desk and I can stamp in here vs the kitchen.
Thanks for your post. I too, see all the beautiful cards, stamp sets, ribbon, etc posted here and want to have one of everything! I am very grateful for all I have (which is a very understanding DH), I have only been stamping for several months and already have 9 stamp sets.
My crafting area is a very small corner of the dining room/computer room. I now have a table 23" x 60" with stackable organizers on it, shoe boxes under it and I cut my paper on the dining room table! But, bonus, I can see the TV so I don't miss Grey's Anatomy and Desparate Housewives while I stamp :-)
LETS HEAR IT FOR THE CLOSET STAMPERS!!! Maybe we could start a new group here.......A prize for the SMALLEST stamping space!!! HA HA!! Here's my itsy bitsy teeny weeny stampin' space....
Very nicely put together, i share my space with hubby in home office. It is a wreck. On my to do list this week. Clean it up. I love the closet idea, You can just shut the door and no one sees the messes we all can make.
I love your closet, bright, organized and everything within reach! Yes, I took over the formal living room in our house & yes, it is a bear to keep organized. (uugh, organization is not my strong point) I am very grateful that my DH didn't protest (to much, LOL) about my gradual takeover! It does help having the room for my monthly stamp camps and club meetings.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful space!
Actually, I wish I had a storage closet- I don't have enough supplies for a room yet- but even if I did- I dont have a room to put them in! I have a corner in my dining room with a desk and a table. I used my dining room table to stamp but decided that I could use the desk since I don't use it for anything else (I pay my bills on the couch in front of the TV...kind of takes some of the sting out of it...) But I like your closet - it looks like everything is nicely organized and easy to find. That's the most important part!!

Thanks for the reminder. I too just use a bookcase in the formal living/ dining room. I have to keep all supplies up high. I have a 2.5 yr old who likes to play and tear things! I have shelves hanging on the back of doors, oh its soooooo ugly and hard to keep organized. I would shudder to post pictures. But I am grateful that I have all these fabulous supplies and I love what I do so I wouldn't change it for the world. Well maybe some day I will have a room but I am grateful right now! ;)
It's true. Be thankful for what you have. I've moved cross country 2x in the past 2 years and I've gone from a renovated double car garage to table in the living room to now a sun room that is freezing cold. I would much prefer anyones closet in a house than the room I have....

I really like this thread ... it makes me stop and appreciate what I DO have .... I'm always looking at everyone's stamp rooms and wishing that I had that too ... I only have a kitchen table and a wee little part of our bedroom that is home to all my supplies ... and a couple of large rubbermaid containers ... but, you are all correct, we should be happy with what we have instead of always wishing for better. When I stop and think about it, I am thankful that I at least have that much space and a husband who doesnt mind me taking that small space over with my supplies. He could have insisted that he use it for his stuff. Thanks for this thread, it has made me realize that I do need to appreciate what I have ... including ALL the sets I DO have, instead of always wishing I had more!
I too am a closet stamper:( but I can close the door and leave out my mess whenever I want so its ok! I am very grateful for my little space. It just means that I can't buy more than I have room for and it keeps me from keeping stuff around that doesn't get used.;)
I'm not a closet stamper, But I do have a small area of our unfinished basement.
Our basement is cement floor's unfinished, Cement Block walls painted white.
I have a Office Mat on the floor so my chair will roll.
I have two Computer desks which both were given to me, I have a workbench that my dh built many years ago.
Desk Chester of Drawers that I use for Storage.
I have a peg wall and cork wall.
The area that I call my stamp room once was a Junk area, filled with dh tools and bikes.
It needed to be cleaned and re-organzied badly.
I ask him If I could have the spot for my STAMPS.
He told me that I could "IF" I cleaned it.
Well it took me a couple of weekends to clean.
SO now it's mine!!!!!!!!!
Amen to that. My "stamp studio" is a front bedroom that is a chaotic mess right now. I'm too ashamed to take a photo and post it here. Kudos for a nice efficient spot. I think I need to take everything out of my room and start over using your method of efficiency. My place is a big dump.
Mine is, too! I have about half of a small room. I know I could make it really nice, but I don't know how. My mind simply doesn't work that way, I wouldn't even know where to start!
To the OP, your closet is wonderful! I hope someday you have a bigger stamping space, but what I hope even more is that you keep your thankful attitude, because that's worth more than all the stamp rooms in the world!
I've thought the same thing you wrote. It's not what you have, it's what you do with it.

This is such a great thread ... and I *so* agree with Cindy and Tina (the original poster) said.
I stamp in an unfinished (and generally pretty COLD) basement. I do have a corner of the basement with our old kitchen table and also a long piece of countertop. We painted a couple of the walls a great blue color and I have a corkboard up. My husband installed nice white shelves for me ... and I do have a few iris carts and a wall where my ink pads are stored ... but it is nothin' fancy!
Many times as I am sitting downstairs I wonder what other people might think if they saw my stamp "studio." LOL. But you know what? I love my stamp space. It is my oasis and I just love to be sitting at my workspace under the Ott lights stamping away.
Yes, I'd love a completely furnished room (with some heat would be nice!) ... and someday I hope that will happen. But until, I am thankful for the space I do have. (We have a house that is about 1000 square feet ... so that doesn't leave ANY room upstairs for stamp stuff!)
Great thread ... and such a great reminder to be thankful for what you have.
I'm not lucky enough to have a stamping closet I do how ever have a drawer tower on wheels and a big plactic tub to put things in. The bright side of it all is that my "stamping room" is moblie!! One day when I get a house and get out of my apartment I hope to expand.
This is a great thread. I have what is listed as a sitting area in our bedroom. It is just big enough for me. I have a cutting table that i do all my work on, my ink pads are in one of those wooden cassette holders, it will eventually be mounted on the wall, I have an old tv stand that I use for storage, and Iris cart that holds all my stamps, I also have a huge cabinet on one wall that I use for storage. I am pretty much starting out when it comes to stamping so I don't have tons of stuff...yet, so there is still lots of room in the cabinet. I love my space, i can go in there when i need "me" time and shut the door, I have a radio and a tv in there, so it is my little piece of Heaven. Thanks for the reminder though.

I love this thread! I only have a small cubby hole in my bedroom, and it is not organized at all! I just bought the Target cubes when they were on sale, but I am not sure I can even afford them and am thinking of taking them back!
