This weekend I went to a new LSS and discovered a new product that looks like lots of fun. I've even signed up for a class on March 14th. Flower soft is like little bits of "stuff" that you can glue on a project for a 3D effect. I believe it may originate in the UK.
I have a few colours and have had fun playing around with it. Once you get the hang of how to apply it the way you want, it gives a unique look to your cards.
Hi Laura,
I first saw it at CHA last summer and immediately purchased it for Flourishes. It is quite east to work with and comes in luscious colors. NancyK, on the the flourishes has a great tutorial on the Flourishes Newsletter on Aug 4th 2008. It is under the category of Tutorials.
I have used it as snow, as lavender and it all looks so real. You will just love it

I love your cards with the Flower Soft and glad you shared. I've never used it before but seeing your cards makes me want to give it a try.

The concept is similar, but it gives you much more texture and dimension and flocking. Be sure to use a recommended adhesive - this isn't for the Quickie Glue pen.
GREAT stuff. One of my favorite things at CHA. Jenn has a video, I'll bug her to upload it! Maybe you can see Daven stamping in action! That's a pretty sight. ;)
flower soft is great - you can make lovely bouquets with pieces of wire, too.
and i've also decorated stamped snowmen with it - really nice snowy effect for christmassy cards.
I have met the founder of flower soft [Noreen] a couple of times now she is such a sweetie she really takes the time to show you how to use flower soft. One day i will start to use all my flower soft goodies xx jo xx
Flower Soft comes like this - these are the only two colors I found at my local scrapbook store . . . I think I need more!
Here's what it looks like out of the package:
As Lori said, you really do need to use the right adhesive. They suggest Aleene's Tacky Glue, and have it bottled in cute, small bottles with tiny applicators that are just perfect!
I'm uploading the little video we put together (way longer than I wanted it to be, but dang, lots of cool stuff!) of the demo we watched at CHA. Sorry, no video of Daven stamping here. . .he was holding the camera most of the time.
You'll find it along with several more videos from CHA on our Youtube channel. I'll come back and edit with a direct link in a few. In the meanwhile, enjoy!
I have several tubs of this - it is a UK product, but I just can't get the hang of it at all. I have tried various glues to stick it on (Quickie glue pen def does NOT work well enough) and it still comes off. I tried using glitter glue with it yesterday on this card and that seems to have worked better.

i too am in love with flower soft! i have been using it for nearly a year now and spent quite a bit of time with the flower soft folks at cha - they were so sweet and helpful! i will be getting it in sometime in the next week in little kits - smaller jars of many colors in each kit - a little goes a long way! you can order those here.
The way you used it as "cake" is just adorable! TFS!

One big tip is .....when you get the tub of flower soft home empty it into a larger plastic container and rub it between your fingers to fluff it up.You do need a white tacky glue for it to stick xx jo xx
Oh MEEEE!! I've been using Flower Soft for about a year now (I saw it at a Craft Trade show in Toronto last year and just HAD to have it). Used it a couple times and then forgot about it and then re-discovered it again at this past CHA!
I've done quite a few projects with them recently and there are quite a few pictures on my blog: http://scrapsetc.blogspot.com
I'm currently waiting on my new order of new flowers from Marti over at Pez-a-Doodle Designs - she will be carrying the box kits!!!

I saw this used at a LSS before Christmas and I have a ? Is it sturdy once it is on the card? I mean does it break off, rub off or does it stay on the card.

it is QUITE sturdy as long as you use the right glue - the flower soft glue i sreally good, glossy accents also seems to be very sturdy.

What would you all suggest getting for the first time? and where?...I noticed there are about 3 *sets* and still not sure which one to get....I am looking for spring like colors but would like to have a green for trees, etc...
hi! i have all 5 kits up on my website and they will start going out this week. for soft spring colors the pastel set is awesome and has a nice spring green in it. this does not come with the glue, wires or printed images so you would want to be sure to order some glue and if you are interested, the wires too.

I picked up quite a few colours at a craft show in Vancouver, BC in the fall. I've hardly used it yet as I've been waiting to do spring and Easter cards with it (soon!!) But I've seen quite a few great ideas that I'll have to break them out sooner!
What I have experienced with Flowersoft, I do love! Those jars are much bigger than I thought and they're packed solid with no wiggle room!!
