That looks great! I may have to check that out. I have about 10 of the ones from Target and have them crammed full of ribbon. They work good for me. I don't really care about whether I can pull it out without opening the box. I just like having all my colors organized.

Not to hijack this thread, but I've got 2 of these that I just bought, but my DH is building me one like the dekdevelopment.com ones, so I need to sell mine. PM me if you're interested. I used coupons for both, so the total for both would only be $20 plus shipping.

Mine is the same...

Can these things be mounted on the wall or do they have to sit on a shelf/desk etc?

I really like the look of them but I don't want to go to the trouble of hunting through Michaels only to find they can't be wall mounted! :(

No bottom shelf -- two shelves for the medium-sized rolls (like the Dashes, Dots & Checks that were on sale this week), one shelf for bobbin-sized rolls, and the bottom holds large rolls.

I don't think they would work wall mounted. The ribbon is zipped in through the back and fed through the front - so I doubt wall mounting is an option.

aww that sucks - oh well then! I guess I better get my butt in gear and shower my brother the plans I made for a wall mounted ribbon holder ( I was hoping I could just buy those ones at Michael's and save us both a lot of time). It's nice to know tho so I won't buy one and find out AFTERWARDS that I wouldn't be able to wall mount it - especially since the nearest Michaels is over an hour away!

Hi - l went to our Michaels in Upper Michigan on Friday. They had just arrived that morning. I really like it, but looking at the picture, it looks like SU ribbon is in both middle drawers. On mine, the first one up from the bottom is not deep enough. Are your two drawers identical in height? Thanks

To the OP - thank you for sharing the find! This looks really neat and everyone seems pleased. I am sending a note to codepink to see if hers is still available...

Love to read about everyone's finds...no Michaels, Joanns, Hobby Lobby, Target, AC Moore...on this side of the Pacific Ocean. And unfortunately, Michaels doesn't ship to Hawaii. :(

Yeah - mine is holding SU ribbon with no problem. I have only the organdy in the middle trays (and the gingham) - the grosgrain will only fit on the bottom. Hope that helps.

The organdy or gingham will not fit in my first tray up from the bottom. Must be a manufacturing mistake. I guess I will just trim the spools so they do fit. Thanks for the info. The grosgrain fits fine in the bottom.
