sigh, I sure *wish* I was still in the Monterey area. We did a tour at the Naval Postgraduate School there. Loved it, especially since dh and I are both from San Jose. Good luck finding some fellow stampers! Ami

I miss that place so much. I went through language school there at the Defense Language Institute for the Army. I sure have great memories of the beautiful sunsets and the wonderful coastline.
I met my DH there--what could be better
Definitely a place I would consider for retirement.
I live in Seaside, but will drive to Salinas or Watsonville. I can offer my house, my DH is very supportive (he know this is my stress relief). So, any ideas where or when? I would love to get together and try some ideas off the techniques page!
I'm sort of close... Morgan Hill. I would love to meet other stampers around here! My upline, moved out of state as I became a demo, and her upline isn't very active in Stamping anymore, so I'm lonely!!!
I couldn't resit in replying to this e-mail...I used to live in Soledad. I grew up there and went to school in Gonzales and I now live in Downey (La Area) I miss HOME though.
I go back to visit my parents but we haven't visited for a while...I'm feeling very home sick now.
GOOD LUCK and have FUN!

I want it all...PLEASE!
Don't tell me you live on Fort Ord, or you just might be my neighbor
Love this thread! Didn't think there would be so many replies from locals!!
I'd love to do a Monterey Bay SCS get together, doesn't that sound like fun?! Both 2/26 and 2/27 sounds good to me.
ReindeerTrout:
I'd love to meet you! I have followed so many of your posts and I thought to myself: San Francisco is not that far from Seaside....
I actually do live on Fort Ord, so I may be your neighbor too!
Oh, how fun! I think if we could just decide on date and place, we could get a few people together. This is waayyyyyyyyyyy toooo exciting!!!
OK, let's make suggestions. I am pretty flexible:
a) Date - Any weekend.
b) Time - I prefer afternoons or evenings
b) Place - We could meet at my place, but I am open for suggestions
Wohoo!! Come on Monterey Stampers, let's do this!!!
I'm so excited! Yes, I live on Fort Ord. On Monterey Rd. in Hayes Park. Let's get together. What about the 27th? Maybe around 2pm? My house is open, or we could just meet somewhere and get to know everyone.
What do you all think? I can't wait!
Hayes Park? Is that where the new housing is? WOW!! Yeah!!! I am in!!
I live in Marshall Park, just a little bit up the road. Sunday the 27th at 2pm sounds great. Who else is in?
Uchy2us: just pm me your address and what I can bring. And thanks for opening your house to us.
I'd suggest each of us prepares a project that we can work on. What do you think?
I am really excited about meeting some fellow SCSers soon. I always thought (when previous SCS meetings in other states took place) "I wish some SCSers would live close to me"..well, who would have thought quite a few live THAT close...!!!
Yay! Who knows...maybe some faces even look familiar..?!?

My thoughts exactly, Eva! Finally, our very own get together. I'd love to come on the 27th. Uchy, please pm your address too. Are we doing potluck? Allow me to bring artichoke dip!
I envy you guys! I'm just over the hill in Milpitas. Really kinda long for a road trip. There are a bunch of stampers up here in Silicon Valley, though. Have fun!!!!!
