Default Anyone here have the new Fiskars European Rotary trimmer?

First of all - hi...! A friend sent me to this board and - hello - I've been missing out!

I've been stamping for about 9 years, and I'm a demo for Biblical Impressions - have been published in the Rubber Stamper and in PaperCrafts, and have stamps made by Biblical Impressions out of my artwork and handwriting. My husband and I are missionaries and we're moving to Indonesia next summer!

So to my question........I have the "grey+orange" trimmer which I've worn out and need to replace.....in thinking of moving overseas I'm considering a rotary trimmer (DH thinks the blades will last longer). I've used the Cutterpede but wasn't overly impressed and it seems to be more for SBers......just wondered if anyone had used the Fiskars Euro rotary trimmer. I know they have one w/ a smaller blade too, but I already have the 45 mm. blades from the larger trimmer.

TIA!
Dina K.

First of all, Welcome to SCS. I just joined probably less than a month ago and I am completely hooked.

Someone please answer this question. I want to buy a new trimmer this weekend and I was considering this one too. I really just would like the personal trimmer in the Euro or the Ultimate. My gray and orange one has just gone to craps. I want a good new one!

Default Rotary trimmers

I just got the Ultimate rotary trimmer by Fiskars 2 days ago! It takes some getting used to, you have to press harder than the old gray and orange trimmer but the whole thing FEELS better made, it comes with the scoring blade that is EASY to change to and it looks like the rotary blade will last a lot longer!! It comes with 3 extra interfaces for the base of the trimmer and that is interesting. It also cuts ultrasmooth white and vanilla without that fringy edge- no fraying at all. Hope this helps...I think I need to just get used to it. I was torn between a Carl cutter at Staples and this but I chose this because of the ease of scoring...when I have a larger customer base I can then justify purchasing a heavy duty one. I also used my coupon to purchase this so it cost 20.00. Good Deal, huh!
