Default Anybody else beside SU make personalized stamps?

Does Staples or any other chain office supply store make these? My dad builds furniture and sales some of it. He doesn't do this for a living buy mainly a hobby. I thought it would be nice if he had a stamp to use when he finished pieces that read "Handmade by Michael R. ..." I don't really know where to look to have one of these stamps made. Does anybody know where to buy one and about how much they cost? Also how long does it take to have it made? TIA. April

Yes....Staples does do personalized stamps (they can give you all the details).

FYI - At our local mall there is also a shop that sells items to be engraved (usually wedding gifts and such) and they also do personalized stamps. It generally takes about 7 business days before you get the finished product back.

Hope this helps.

Hi -

I have got a few from Office Max and have been happy with them. They have several fonts and size of fonts to pick from. They were per line and cost around $5-8 and they were done in a few days. They have self inking ones, but I got the ones you ink yourself with the wood handle.

There's also a great company called paperangel - http://www.paperangel.com and they make these great personalized stamps that are round.

Great service too.

Cheers,

We have several rubber stamping companies here in my town. Look in the yellow pages under rubber stamps and call them. I have a stamp that says "Kards by Kandy" that my friend had made for me. Just a few dollars. My girls have ones that say "Stuff by Stacey" and "Krafts by Kristine". Again, very inexpensive.

By the way, when I need a sentiment for the inside of a card, like retirement or other occasion, I have them make exactly what I want. I type it out in WORD and give them the specific font, size, etc and they duplicate it perfectly. I had one made that said, "Celebrating a love of a lifetime and a lifetime of love" for wedding and anniversary cards. It was cheaper than Michaels, JoAnns or SU and it was exactly what I wanted! I get some of my sentiment ideas from the Current Catalog.

The company I use has it ready the next day, too!!!!!

If your local Mall has a "Things Remembered" store in it... they will make in about a weeks time. I used to work there many moons ago and loved cutting stamps.... how ironic that I am a Stamper now... ha ha.

good luck
