Hey Joan, do you mean clear mount or clear stamps? They have said they won't do clear stamps as they can't make them the quality they want.
And funny about the santa:-)
I don't know that I have a lot of predictions....but I"m super excited to see and I'll be staying up all night on May 31 to see the sneak peek and then I'll be spending a small fortune on shipping to get my catalog next day aired to me:-) I can't wait!!!!!! I'm also going to a St. Louis Cardinals game with my family on the first and they are going to HATE me because I"ll I'll be thinking about is that catalog, lol!!!!!!
I do think one of the in colors will be a lime green! It's HOT right now. And how cool would that look with poppy or concord?????
I've only gone thru 3 new catalog events, so I'm clueless. Wishfully thinking, I still want a smaller Top Note die and more ribbon colors. I'd also love a stamp set that's simple and similar to Teeny Tiny Wishes but with in larger sizes. I don't need flourishes and verses. And we need a 1 inch square and an egg-shaped punch. I looked in every store around and couldn't find those.
And most of all I'd like the former choices back of the 12 x 12 single color smooth pack of card stock. I don't like being stuck with half a pack of textured or having to go with a variety pack in order to get all smooth.

I meant clear, not clear mount. You just never know what the future will bring.
Lime green is hot and I like it!

In terms of stamps and products, I'd say that if you look around at what's trendy right now, there will be a sampling of that in the new catty. For example:
*pennants, banners, and buntings
*silhouettes, esp. people
*baker's twine
*vintage papers
*a little steampunk, via zeppelins and hot air balloons
*doilies, both paper, punches, dies, and stamp related

Any other guesses?
Um, I think you have a few of these right on....maybe more;)
I would love to see a couple or masculine stamp sets and another western themed stamp set. I hope they have several shades of the seam binding, like Melon Mambo.

I too {wish} for more ribbons colors. I really don't know what to predict. That deeper neon green is in. I saw a little girl's top with Going Gray, Tempting Turquoise and that cool green color against a white background. They were the best colors. But I just can't quite imagine that green as part of a card!
I'd also love to see more sentiments, especially with the sets. I got Button, Button and Sew Suite and really wish there were some cute sentiments with them. I tend to like other companies sentiments better than SU's. So many just don't do it for me!

We have had a santa on a surfboard stamp in the Australian catalogue for years now and IMHO it's awful!
Hope it retires this year!
It definitely won't sell for big money on ebay. lol

I have heard through the grapevine somewhere that Shelli herself has expressed that she doesn't think we have enough ribbons/colors of ribbons either so there could be more in the new catty.....OHHHH and button sentiments would be a-dor-able!!! I'd HAVE to break down and get a button set if they came out with that!!!!
I think lime green would look amazing with poppy or concord....as long as it's PRETTY lime green and not just loud and ugly lime green:-)

Oh, that's a great prediction! I go to look for ribbon to order and they don't have it in the colors I need/want. Yes, a pretty lime green not just NEON green!

Just as an FYI, A Muse Studios has a 1" square punch and an egg-shaped die.
I can't wait to see the new SU catty and find out what the in-colors will be! I bet they will have a ton of seam bindings and more bakers twine and I am thrilled to get them!
I hope they finally have all stamps clear-mount available since I refuse to buy any more wood (unless I absolutely can't live without something, LOL!)
Regarding in-colors, I thought that it had been announced last summer that the new in-colors introduced then would continue for two years. If that is correct, new colors would not be introduced with the coming catty. Any demos know for certain? I'm not a fan of most of last summer's in-colors.

THat's half right....the colors are good for two years BUT each year a new set of five will come in as well. So the ones we got last year will retire at the end of the upcoming 2011-12 catty...the ones that come in this July will stick around another year and so on....make sense?
Thanks, Minders. Having read another post inbetween my question and your answer, I read about the rotation you explained in your answer. Thank you for answering. Yes; it makes sense. I'm glad there will be new in-colors to look forward to.
I see that a few people are hoping for felt. Please elaborate. What are your hopes regarding felt? I'm curious/keeping my eye out for new ideas/techniques.

No prob, lots of people are confused! It is confusing in general not to mention all the hoopla of the revamp last year.....my head is still spinning a bit. I'm super glad to have the colors for two years though, one was not enough to get good use. AND I just recently really got into poppy and concord. I loved the other three but hadn't gotten into those two...now it seems they are all I use, lol! Can't wait to see the new stuff!

I think they want felt in our colors to use with the big shot and dies! Like felt flowers for headbands and stuff like that!
Oooo, felt would be fun! And how about some Nestability-like die cuts. Maybe get into sewing on cards like some hand-sewing tools/templates? I loved that antique-glass glitter - maybe they'll put that in the IBW.
What about punches? I expect they'll include the punches that were in the Minis this year and how about another border punch? Maybe something lacy with a coordinating corner punch.

They have never NOT included a punch that was in a mini. So....I fully expect all of the punches from the minis this year to be there and I expect new ones too!
Also, all of the big shot items always carry over as well.
I'd like to see them bring back some of the stamps they had several years ago. I was recently looking through a 2003 catalog, wow I would love to be able to get some of those stamps.

Wouldn't that be cool if they did a retro from other catalogs?? I agree. There are some stamp sets in previous catalogs that I would love to get my hands on and you'd think it wouldn't be too hard for them to pull out the old patterns...

I think they did that for like the 20 year anniversary or something like that. One of the big milestones...
Yes, I would love to see Well Scripted offered again. I missed getting that one!
It's not an older set, but I'd still like to have a chance to get it.

You never know they might offer it in the new catty. In the past some of the mini sets have made it into the catalog. I'm hoping the cupcake set makes it into the catalog.

Hey, I never even considered that this might make it into the new catty, but there's a good chance when you consider that it was from last summer's occasions mini. Now I'm hopeful, too! I kick myself for not buying that one when I had the chance, but I refuse to pay double for it from a seller.
