Am I the only one just now making my Mother's Day cards?
Okay, so I'm a horrible procrastinator!! I'm just now making my mothers day cards. Unfortunately I'm not feeling very creative right now. I can't for the life of me come up with a color combo I want to use that looks good with the stamp sets I want to use. Nothing seems to be working the way I want it to. Grrr...
Please tell me I'm not the only one that waited till the last minute. The worst part is here I am on SCS instead of trying to make cards:rolleyes:. I think I'm going to go browse the gallery:mrgreen:.
Nope I still have not started on my mother's day cards or gifts. It's goign to be a long night getting them done and I still have not decided what I want to do yet.
I made a couple on Thursday - one for my mom and one for DH's mom - those had to go in the mail. Tonight I made one for my DAUGHTER - it's her very first Mother's Day! And my dear sweet granddaughter Anna will be dedicated to the Lord at their church tomorrow morning!

Oh, you are SO not the only one! I got mine done just a few minutes ago. Still have one small gift to make tomorrow! I always wait til the last minute for these things! I think I work best under pressure.

Awww, congratulations! What a special thing for a special day!
Our Confirmation is tomorrow as well. I was very blessed to be chosen as a mentor by a wonderful young lady! I just finished HER card a few minutes ago, along with my mom's mother's day card
Whew, I'm so glad I'm not alone. Good luck everyone. We wouldn't want to disappoint our mothers;). I do have a card almost done though! Woohoo! I found a great card by JBalcer in my favorites that inspired me . I was hoping to make mothers day gifts, but with my procrastination and all, I forgot to buy stuff/ come up with ideas to make gifts, so I got some store bought gifts some yesterday. Maybe next year, lol.
Well, I don't know about that, but you are not the only one not ready for Mother's Day. I just walked in from running to WalMart for some fun foam for a Sunday School craft and it's like Christmas Eve out there!! Madness and mayhem!!
I had my card done, purchased Mom's gift on Thursday but wanted to wrap it in a bag - which of course I ended up making an hour ago! Then after the bag I decided to make a little notebook and RSVP pens to go with her gift. Almost done with my last pen! Took me FOREVER to get started! But finally almost finished!!
I normally wait til the last minute but this year I sent it early along with a basket from Bath & Bodyworks that she already received!! I get the "Daughter of the Year" award!!
Nope, guilty here too! Last year I made cards for all my SIL's too but that's not gonna happen this year! We're also celebrating 5 birthdays tomorrow; I JUST finished those cards a few minutes ago!

Awwww, that is so sweet! Congratulations! My Godmothers name was Anna.

My mom needed a Mother's Day card for my grandma, so I gave her the one I made for her and told her to look at it before she gave it away! I'll make MIL's card tomorrow after church. Why rush it? She only lives a couple blocks away and prefers hand delivery anyway!
I'm still working on mine. I needed to let it sit for a while because there's on part that just isn't coming together for me. I may just have to go to bed and finish it in the morning.
I did make mine last weekend...because I was producer of our elementary school play and wouldn't have time to breathe this week (performances were Wed, Thurs).
My husband did not like one I made for his mother. WHATEVER, go buy her one. He did, and did not let me see it!
I haven't made my Mom's card yet :( But, she is out of town right now and won't be home until Friday... so I have a little bit of time until we celebrate

Men! It was very thoughtful of you to make one for MIL. Your DH should have been grateful. I volunteered to make one for my MIL this year. DH usually sends funny cards so I wasn't sure if he would like the flowery card I had in mind. Luckily I have a hydrangea stamp and that is her favorite flower. I think it turned out great and DH really liked it. I hope MIL does too. What do you all think?
Don't feel bad, my stuff is out in the open and I can totally get to it and I bought all my cards.
Thank goodness there are a few of us out there!! I was planning to make my mom and dauther their cards this year, but too many things happened. I had to buy their cards because they had to be sent by Thursday. From now on, any time I go to an SU workshop or stamp a stack I plan to leave a few blank rather than stamp the "thank you" or "happy birthday" words on the card. That way I can pull out a hand made card and put whatever I need on it if I'm in a pickle like this again!
Do you have a cuttlebug? I had to make a quick baby card last week (should have kept my supplies out to do the MD cards!) and it only took minutes. I put white cardstock through the dotted swiss folder and mounted it on pink. Then I stamped the sweet baby stamp from So Many Scallops (you could do a flower) and punched it out - mounted that on a larger scallop. With matching ribbon wrapped around the card and the scallop attached, it really turned out pretty! This is not my card, but here is the one from LaLatty that I used for inspiration:
I had my Mother's Day card made early and purchased some gifts to include and mailed the box out on Tuesday as it ships from Hawaii to California. I checked the USPS website to see when it arrived and got the following info on the Track & Confirm
Your package left our Anchorage Alaska facility on May 9th. What??? How did my package end up making a side trip to Alaska. I guess I will be late again.

 I have only just seen this - I finished my Mom's Mother's Day card at about 12:10am today....But to be fair I did have to make my husband an Anniversary card for today as well ;) and I started that on Friday... sometimes my ideas just don't come together until I'm pushed.
Can't figure out WHY I do this but I didn't make mine until after 11:30am this morning...my hubby wanted to leave at noon! We left at 12:30 after I threw on make up and got dressed!!!
No, you are not the only one..I just made my mom's today. I've been wanting incorporate a picture of my twin sister and I on the beach when we were 2 years old. Now, we are 43 years old. I think my mom will enjoy her card, as I enjoyed making it. Here it is.

Finished my cards Saturday afternoon and hand-delivered them to our local daughters and MIL when we got together Saturday evening for a birthday party. The others, however, (for my 4 sisters, two daughters in law, and one very sweet friend) won't even go in the mail until tomorrow (Monday!) morning! I'm so bad! But we were on vacation, then I had a lot of catching up to do at work , and ... !
I'm just glad I finished them all! Next holiday I'm going to try to do better!
