That's a darling card, love how you used the twine, and congrats on making it in the favorites thread this week!

Tarheel born and Tarheel bred
When I die, I'll be Tarheel dead.
You KNOW God's a Tarheel fan; why else would the sky be Carolina blue?

I have a niece and nephew who go to State; if that won't make me pull for 'em, nothing will.
My husband was a Duke fan (can you imagine?). We not only watched the games in separate rooms, we watched on separate floors!
Sorry for the hijack, girls, but the State fan started it! LOL

also a Wake fan, too. I like to say since my Dad went to State, State raised me. And since I work for Wake Forest/Baptist Hospital, I say Wake pays my mortgage.
Well, I'd boast about the UT Longhorns, but there's nothing to boast about. Even read an article where we were rated the team with the worst season in the whole country.
But . . . back to the original OP - forgot about this card. It's another where I used baker's twine to tie a button. I have a pet peeve about seeing buttons on cards without some sort of thread or string in them. Don't ask me why, just a weird thing.
The Right Tree
Just curious -- I've not actuall seen the bakers twine in person but could it be substituted for embroidery floss and used with the new WRMK Sew Easy Tool and attachments?

the twine i have is way to thick for that? ( to run through a sewing machine) I would assume my machine would just break it.
eta just peeked in my own gallery and i havent uploaded anything here with the twine on it. but, mostly to tie sentiments that were cut as tiny tags to ribbon or lace knots is how i use it most.
Niki..your cards are so lovely. I hope someday I can color like you. I am just starting to collect the Copic Sketch markers..thanks for listing which ones you used...
blessings.
There have to be many more cards that people have done with twine. There are some good ones here. This is about the only one I have done with this fun string.

lovely samples ladies. i went to boston this summer and went to a bakery (never have the need to go to one at home), I saved the twine because I loved it. Then suddenly there was a twine explosion in the card world. I bought different colors off etsy.
Haven't done anything with them. The one from the bakery will be on the scrap page from the trip.
Hey girls. I swear I saw a thread about comparing the 2 kinds of baker's twine. But I SO cant' find it now! I even searched Product and Tool.
Anyway, I know the thicker "softer" twine is from Divine Twine, but what is the thinner kind? I am about out of my Red/White twine and I really want the thinner kind. My head is spinning from all my Etsy store searching!

Linda, in looking at the picture of The Twinery, it looks to be the Divine Twine thickness...
The thread I am looking for mentioned that Divine Twine was white based twine with red going through it. The other brand was more red based with white going through it. I think I am losing my mind... lol!
Just found another site; this looks thinner: Bakery Twine

Sorry, that's not the right thread. I KNOW which one you're talking about, but can't find it either!

I just found the thread where criminalgrace posted a photo comparison in the gallery, but when I clicked on the link, it said the picture had been removed...
