What a good question! I think this is my favorite. It's a card that I made for my friend who loves cows. I made it with the Create a Critter cartridge and my Cricut machine. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's projects.http://scrapjanny.blogspot.com/2010/...thers-day.html (I posted the link because the picture was huge.)
I made bouquets for a low-budget wedding - that was something new for me, but I love how they turned out! I used Tim Holtz's tutorial for grunge roses, with a few changes. The bouquets are made from cardstock, ribbon, wire, and PVC pipe!
Mine is these rootbeer tags. I made them for a lady who won blog candy on my blog and she is going to use them for her daughter's birthday--can't wait to hear how the party went!
What a great thread!! Dina I LOVE the flowers you made! I'd have carried them at my wedding. My MIL was SO helpful with my wedding, and paid for so many things that my dad would not...but her taste was not mine, and I just couldn't say anything! Your flowers are just gorgeous!
Holly, now I have to have that stamp set! I've talked myself OUT of that set so many times, but now that I see you can make ROOTbeer out of the mug I won't feel like such a lush using it!
Ok, my project was using the Bazzil stitchz templates. Actually, I THOUGHT they were STitchz, but they were jewel templates. I managed though. It was just a swirly image, and I poked the holes for the swirl, then used the Bazzil stitchz thread to sew the swirly image onto a scrapbook page. I have not sewed anything since I was 8 years old (when my patient grandmother tried to teach me to sew!) so this was an accomplishment! I used rose red cardstock with a light turquoise-y colored thread.
Mine is not paper related but a quilt. It is by far the hardest one I have attempted...each of the 12 blocks averaged 52 pieces! Thankfully I did it as a class otherwise I wouldn't have finished it. I did make a cute card this month using the heart embossing/cutting thingy from SU that turned out pretty cute too.

I so admire those of you who can quilt. I come from a long line of quilters, yet I have not the patience for it. I am thankful that my aunts love to gift them to me, though!
My favorite project for this month is a suitcase type box I made for Jessica Knutsen's (knutsen24 ~ owner of There She Goes) birthday. It took me several days to make. The outside was decorated with travel type stickers representing all the girls on the team. You can see pictures of it here:
This was actually a Mother's Day card for my step-mom. She saw one that I shared on FB using this digital stamp and commented that I used to behave this way when I was little at her house. I thought it was such a perfect fit for Mother's Day. The outside reads... Aren't You Happy....inside...that I grew out of that stage! We are very close now and no one would have ever guessed it would be this way growing up. It brought great joy to do this card for fun and I really did grow in appreciation for how far our relationship has come over the years.
Mine are the prom "emergency kits" that I made for my DD and her two BFFs for the prom. They were so excited as they were sophomores and all invited by seniors.
What a fun thread! It's a great way to see what people are doing.
May was a busy crafting month for me. My favorite is a boardbook I made for my niece because not only did I have a blast making it, but it was so memorable to give. She loved that the cover bunnies could be detached so that we could hop through the pages together and read all about spring. We had a great time. Here's the blog post I did featuring the book: http://lifemomentswithrita.typepad.c...challenge.html
three mother's days ago Hubs and DS got me a few Copics to try (in mostly su match colors) and I have not played with them much over the years because, i didnt have colors next to each other to shade or blend, so this last end of April and May i started becoming more serious about adding to my copics so i could use them better and this is one of the first things i did ( an stamped open poppy flower colored with them) first link goes to blog angled crop shots, second link goes to the gallery...
(haven't given this one away yet it still makes me smile to see it)
I did half of my daughter's wedding invites up to printing and placing the vanilla on each card...only 40 more to go!
I am also working on that bloomin' veil still! Luckily, the muslin pattern I made for her dress fit perfectly last night so that will be my August project along with 3 bridesmaids dresses. Sept. 5 is the date for her Mandalay Bay wedding in Vegas.

Wow, you're making the invites, veil, dress and bridesmaids dresses?!?!? That's dedication right there!
I had two favorite projects -- Gift Tins that are perfectly sized to hold ATCs, Gift Cards, small embellishments, and/or candy.
Actually, I made one, loved it, decided to give it to someone else since it's her favorite color, so I made a second one in the other recipient's favorite color.
