For those of you who use Aileen's Tack It Over & Over (ATIO&O) to unmount your stamps, how long do you wait for it to dry before placing them in the jewel cases?
I have been letting them dry overnight, but I would like to unmount two groups of stamps every day rather than only one if I can (and I only have so many surfaces in my house that I don't use where I can let the stamps dry). So if they dry in less time than that, it would be really good to know.
Thanks everyone! Appreciate your input!
PS - Off topic but good advice: to those of you who have tons of teeny stamps to unmount, if you choose to use AITO&O, I recommend applying it to the inside of the jewel case rather than the teeny stamps themselves, or using EZ Mount or applying double sided tape to the inside of their jewel case. I learned this the hard way - picture a person with a total of twelve different tiny sentiments stuck to every single one of her fingers, every time I tried to remove one, another seemed to stick... I hope I didn't ruin the set, sigh...

I have a question about this . . . and forgive me for sounding so dumb . . . but could you just put the product on the acrylic block instead of each individual stamp?

Sure, but I prefer to store my unmounted stamps in jewel cases, which requires some kind of adhesive either on the inside of each case or on the backs of the stamps themselves to keep them attached to the case or they will just flop around inside, and most likely get lost.

I don't think that I'd be doing that unless the block is reserved only for those stamps that have no sticky to them. I think it'd also collect a lost of dust and gunk wich would give birth to a whole new issue.

I use ATIOAO on my stamps and apply with a paintbrush (that I clean with alchohol and wipe off with a baby wipe), I apply a thin coat and usually only wait about 15 min before using the stamps. It dries very quickly if applied thin.

WOW! - THAT fast?!! That would be awesome! It is hard to know what constitutes "thin" though right? LOL Sometimes I am able to apply it thinner than others, just depends on how much is squeezed out of the bottle. Someone once said "as soon as it is clear, it is good to go", but some of the stamps, if I can get the layer thin enough, look clear almost immediately after applying and that's can't be ready yet, so... that's why I am hoping to get a lot of responses so I can see what the general consensus is.
Thanks for all the input everyone! Keep it comin'...
I find that if I apply a thin layer, it takes just a few minutes to dry. You'll know when the glue is dry because it turns clear! HTH
Thanks Shannan - AWESOME tutorial!
I don't use a foam brush (I would think that the stamps would stick to it after a few sets, no?), I just spread it around with my fingers with a gloved hand. Sometimes I can get it thinner than others.
Being dry in a few minutes just sounds too good to be true! I am doing about 15 sets or so at a time and sometimes some of the stamps I started with look clear by the time I am doing the last set. Just didn't think it was "really dry" because I didn't think it could dry THAT quickly. Didn't want to stick them to my jewel case and then not be able to pry them off you know!
