Question After Christmas dilema...

Christmas was great, I decided this past summer to make scarfs for everyone. After seeing all the great posts about paintcans, I got the great idea of packaging the scarfs in paintcans.....OH YES! what a hit....now for the dilema....How do I out do the "Way cool" packaging idea from this year. My family has really put the pressure on with all their supportive comments about the paintcans....now what, how on earth will I out do the paintcans of 2005?

What about doing smaller gifts in the resealable fruit cans? I haven't made them, but they are supposed to be super easy and have such a WOW factor with the whole "how did you get it in there?" question.

You could do a search on fruit cans to see how it's done.

I did the fruit can and put a gift card inside (it was teh bigger one). I asked my DH and he loked the way it looked with the Dole Mandarin Can and not decorated, so I left it with a big bow on top.

Everyone said how cute it was and I ended up getting my first SAB order of teh year from my sis and her DH (who was in awe of the power of Crystal Effects! LOL)

You can get soup cans with the pop tops too. A little bigger.

That's what I was going to say! I'm sure that there will be a new trend by the time Christmas rolls around next year!

Default Searching already

Thanks for the ideas...I'm sure something new and awesome will grab me by next Christmas....I have been poking around the site a bit and think that for the ladies, I may try my hand at those beautiful silk scarfs I've been seeing for the gift. I know those would fit in smaller cans and who knows, maybe I'll see a better container before Christmas to use. Thanks

What are these resealable fruit cans? I'm sure there will be tons of great ideas by this summer. Before I got into card making I used to do all kinds of christmas crafts and ornaments as gifts so I know what you mean by feeling the pressure, but you should give yourself a break at least until 2006 hee hee.

I saw something really cool on Carol Duvall this morning... I had seen it before but it is fresh in my mind and is perfect for this thread... They are two pizza boxes hinged, with a strap, and decorated.... Here's the link.....

Too bad you can't find a way to put a spring in so it springs out. That would really be a surprise.
