I lucked out and had purchased an UM Snow Angels set. However as I trimmed them tonight I was wondering how many of you cut out the belly of the snowman? It's a large area and I fear it will ink up.
Before I mess up my pretty stamp I need some advice!
I am pretty "risky" with mounting my stamps. I get really close and I like to cut off sentiments and mount them on the ends if it is an image with a saying. As far as what you are talking about I would draw the line. That would scare the you know what out of me. With my luck I would have one big bellied snowman no one could use. I say put down the scissors. Just remember when stamping with it not to press hard in the middle and it most likely won't be a problem. If it is you can always go back and redo it.
Good luck!
My "Snow Angels" stamp fine with the belly in. I'm sure that can vary from stamp to stamp. I'd mount as normal. You can always go back and cut out the middle with a craft knife if it smudges.

A lot of times I have cut out the excess rubber, after mounting and doing a test stamp with it. I have found I can use my SU scissors instead of the craft knife to cut the un-wanted rubber....just start in the middle, poke a hole through and cut away.....so much easier then using the craft knife.
buy the way...."cutting out the belly" of the snowman......sounds pretty heinous!!! LOL

I do cut out the centers of anything that seems too large. But, I think Hollie has a really good idea. Try it first and cut it out afterward if needed.
PS... the best way to make Snow Angels is to lie down on your back in the snow and wave your arms and legs around.......
