I am working on creating a baby book for myself--taking all of my childhood pictures out of the existing magnetic photo albums and creating a gorgeous scrapbook instead. I am looking for 80s stamps, embellishments, whatever. My friend has a trio of Care Bear stamps that she loaned me and I think that is a good start. My favs when I was little were Strawberry Shortcake and Rainbow Brite and that is what I would LOVE to find. Has anyone seen anything like that? Any suggestions on where I might look? Thanks!

Those would be awesome! I have not seen the ones that you named, but SU has one that looks like My Little Pony. There is also a wheel that looks 80s. I don't have my catty but I think it is on the same page spread as the pony. Extreme Elements and the one that says Friends Rock (not sure if that is the name but I don't have my catty with me at the moment!) would be great on 80s pages.
Sara Kay is an illustrator whose characters remind me a LOT of Holly Hobby, maybe you could check out her stamps too. Here is a store that sells a bunch of different ones.
lisa frank still sellls stickers and things, i know i've seen the big packs of stuff at Party City and Walgreen pharmacy. i remember those growing up LOL i think i still have my old sticker album in storage somewhere
cricut makes a hello kitty cartridge. i remember Target had some Hello Kitty stuff in the $ bin like four months ago, so maybe you can see if you have a slow moving target? http://www.rainbowbrite.net/color/
the above link says you can download Rainbow Brite coloring book pages, maybe you can resize them to rubber stamp sized?
hope that helps...
There are thousands of free colouring pages of Holly Hobby, Strawberry Shortcake, Care Bears, My Little Pony, etc, etc., that you could use as digital stamps. I've used quite a few myself. Just google free colouring pages and you get a lot to choose from.
See, I knew you smart ladies would have some ideas. The Anya is adorable and the Rainbow Brite coloring book is great! I really wanted to do a whole Rainbow Brite spread and those pix will be perfect. Yay! Thanks everyone!

This is the one I would suggest. I need to order it soon! It's totally funky and 80's and looks great in bright, bold colors. I have used it on MDS to do some scrap pages for my "made in the 80's" birthday party last year and they turned out fantastic! Good luck!
A lot of those characters have been making "comebacks" too.. so I would check the sticker aisles & party favor stores!
You are so right, but I am pretty picky about my 80s characters. I will not use that imposter pretending to be Strawberry Shortcake. She must have a dress and a muffin hat, not jeans and a straw hat!
