I have been asked to make 50th Wedding Anniversary Invitations and I am having difficulty finding a stamp that just says "50th Wedding Anniversary"
I found one made by PBX but it is discontinued....has anyone had any success in finding a stamp that would work?
:(
Thanks
Not sure about a stamp but could you maybe use number dies? I have "By the numbers" dies by paper trey ink that I use for specific birthdays or anniversaries.
Here's a card I recently did for a friend's 50th wedding anniversary. I used PTI dies to cut out the number "50" and embossed it. I used my computer for the names.
Inside I used my computer with a script font for this poem, which I love for wedding anniversaries:
"One by one each year flew by,
Since you both said I do
Fifty years of memories,
Shared by the two of you.
From big events and holidays
To simple daily pleasures,
Some tearful times along lifes way,
Some joys that cant be measured.
One by one each year now gone,
But still theyre yours forever,
Each and every memory,
Of Fifty years together!"
Happy Golden Anniversary

Bugga, thanks for this lovely poem for a 50th anniversary. My best friend all the way back to kindergarten will be married 50 years in July, I was her maid of honor, and want to make a special card and had no idea of what to put inside; this is perfect!

Diane, I'm so glad you like it. The card I used it for was the 50th wedding anniversary of a couple that I actually introduced to each other over 50 years ago, so it was very special to me. I was also her maid of honor.
Funny story: she had her original wedding dress and her hubby's suit displayed on a table at the anniversary party. There was also a lovely blue sheath dress. It looked familiar, but you know, it was 50 years ago.
She reminded me what had happened all those years ago.We were both young and poor, as were both our families. I was too poor to buy a maid of honor dress for her wedding. She was too poor to buy me one.
She had sewn her going away dress herself, the blue sheath dress. Since we were the same size, we decided I could wear the blue dress for the wedding ceremony, then run in and change out of it. And then she could put it on to wear for her "going away." And that is what we did.
Only when you are very young do you do things like that. That story was the hit of the party. All the guests loved it!

Thanks for the poem,I know that It will be a keeper, I will keep your suggestions in mind and check DRS,if anyone else knows of other companies please send them in. in the next couple of years several of my siblings are celebrating their 50th
Bugga, thanks so much for posting the 50th anniversary verse. I need to make a card for a couple from our church and this saying is perfect for them!
You're welcome. I found it on the internet somewhere, and I've used it on many anniversary cards. It doesn't have to be just for golden, you can easily change the years in the verse.

Stampin' Up has a stamp set called Memorable Moments. It has all the numbers, rd, st, nd, th, Anniversary, Birthday and Happy. I like it in clear mount so I can arrange it on a block to when stamping multiples. I used it on the bottom corner of this guest book Addicted to Stamping: Glimmer Paper to the Rescue
