Dots and Daisies, Linen (have Canvas) and Print Pattern. They should be here Friday and then I'll have to order 3 more...cause I want French Script and Soft Swirls so i'll have to add another one, right?
Thanks to this topic I am now 22.60 poorer dang it. LOL I love the irish blessings version of script and just had to have it. I picked it up off ebay for 22.60. Now if it will only get here. I am so impatient.

You will Love Script (the Irish Blessing)! $22.60, not bad at all for ebay!
So I already had: Crosshatch, French Script, Simple Stripes, Bamboo II, Weathered, Print Pattern, Just Jeans and the letter T. and Linen. (LOVE Linen!)
I have ordered:
Floral, Houndstooth and the letter F.
I think I will also order:
Cheesecloth, Letter S and Letter L.
I ordered Linen, By Definition, Crosshatch, Geometric, Print Pattern, Simple Stripes, Cheesecloth, Just Jeans, and On Safari.
I already own Floral, Soft Swirls, French Script, a background stamp from JudiKins that is similar to Weathered and one that looks like a honeycomb from Rubbernecker Stamp Co.
LOVE background stamps thanks to SCS gallery...Love this special sale from SU!

I just had my party last night and ordered Weathered, Linen, and Houndstooth.... i agonized over the Houndstooth decision... it was between that one, French Script and Simple Stripes
I am so excited. Is it just me or is Stampin Up like a double or triple thrill? I mean there's looking thru the catalog to figure out which backgrounds you want then the thrill of placing the order and sharing your order with others. Then you have the thrill of actually recieving them and trimming, ect. To me it's better than going to the store because it's spread out more. Grated you don't get the instant gratification of getting the item immediately but there's something to be said for anticipation!
I had already ordered French Script, last month before I knew about the special. So this month, for the special, I ordered Floral, Linen, and Print Pattern. Thanks to all who encouraged me on Floral. I didn't like the Floral sample in the catty, but I didn't realize that it was altogether different til I saw it in the gallery.
I wanted to get Weathered, but someone told me the crackles run sideways and I wanted them to run up and down like tree bark. Anyone know where I can get a bg stamp like that?
I don't know for sure, but have you tried www.cornishheritage.com? They have tons of backgrounders. You can go to their website, do a search for backgrounders, and only those (which is still a lot of stamps) will come up. I bought 3 or 4 from them, unmounted, along with an acrylic block. It is much cheaper this way, and there are some very nice bgs on there!
My sister and I are having a huge party and we've chosen:
Linen
Dots & Daisys
Cheesecloth
Canvas
Fine Lace
Soft Swirls
Weathered
Print Patterned
Just Jeans
Geometric
"B"
"S"
So we haven't finished our order yet as our 2nd class is tonight, but do any of you not use some of these?? Or you got it and just haven't really used it?? As you can see we don't have many BG's. We have 3:word by word, birthday wishes, and holiday print. LMK (Let me know) Thanks
My order was dated 4/13, arrived today, and weathered and print pattern are on backorder! So I guess I'll just have to wait to play with them! Totally sad.

Nooooo.......not backordered. Mine are due to arrive any day, and I have print pattern on my list of nine. Surely they knew everyone on SCS that didn't already have pp would need it!:(

Yes, I have Cornish Heritage bookmarked, but I haven't had time to really, really browse over there. I know I want to get their Paisley. I need to see what else I want.
I'm interested in the um/acrylic block thing, can you explain it to me? What size block do I get and how do I get the stamp to stick to it to stamp with? Is it sticky on the back or does it automatically cling? I'm thinking that would be a great space saver.
I ordered Linen, Fine Lace, Geometric, Word by Word, Monogram "U", Holiday Print, Floral, Happy Birthday, Soft Swirls - I guess I kinda went crazy. I already have By Definition, Canvas, and French Script. Oh yeah - I forgot one of my customers wanted two of the backgrounds only so I got to order a third off of her order - Dots & Daisies. Talk about being BG crazy - I think I fit that picture.

I believe that I bought the largest acrylic block that they have. (The dimensions are on there.) You can buy smaller acrylic blocks as well. Some of the craft stores carry them. (I already had two sizes, so I got a couple of smaller stamps from cornish as well.)
Anyway, they come with a paper backing, which you peel off. Then they easily cling to the acrylic block. The paper will lay back on the stamp, but doesn't really stick anymore. I put it back in the cello bag it came in to avoid dust, etc. Someone told me that you can stick them to CD cases (but the bgs are too big for that. They also said you can stick it to a piece of glossy paper. I'm trying to decide if it's worth the expense of the glossy paper. For now, I'm putting them back in the cello bag, and have all of my 8 or stored in a little box along with the acrylick blocks. (I wonder how this collection will grow.)
At the risk of making someone spend more than they should on the BG sale...
I checked it out this morning, and the 3 that are not in with the others in the caty DO enter on the promo: Holiday Print (p. 43), HB Greetings (p. 84), and Special Day (p. 86)
