I got the Woodware stamps today- thank you! I really love the croissant, and there's a little tea bag on there, too (besides the coffee, tea, cupcakes. etc.).

Let me know when yours arrive, I'm interested in hearing how you like them.
I am reaching out to fellow cardmaker's here in the group to see if any of you would like to help out with a project that I began nearly 8 years ago. It's called, "The YOU MATTER Project". Several years ago I was a victim of Domestic Violence. Today I am happy to say that I am a proud survivor.
Sadly however, Domestic Violence is still a real issue. Which is why I created my "YOU MATTER" project. I have been making & donating handmade cards to my local Advocacy Center. Which in turn provides cards to those who need them.
When someone goes through this type of life event, they often have to walk away from everything in order to stay safe. It is very disheartening to say the least. Through these cards, people are shown that they DO matter. And, can begin the road to a better life for themselves, and often their children. As card makers yourself, I'm sure that you know the happy feeling you get when you receive a handmade card. It does make you feel like someone out there cares about you and that you matter.
So, I am humbly asking if any of you have extra cards or card fronts that you need to find a good home for, could you send them to help with this project. They can be any type of card. From a simple "I'm thinking about you", to "Birthday" Cards and everything in between. (We have teamed up with local bakeries to help ensure that children of these unfortunate situations at least have a Birthday Cake and a handmade card for their birthday.)
If you would like to help, please send cards or card fronts to:

hotwheels /Linda - thank you SO MUCH for the box of images. I know you said a medium sized box but I certainly was not expecting this many! There are so many that I am going to go through them and ask a person at work if she would like some of them--she is a huge fan of House Mouse and is in the early stages of learning cardmaking.
I will be looking through some of my things beginning early next week and will be posting some items on PIF shortly.

Thanks for letting me know, Pat. Glad you will get some use out of them.

You know, I've been so busy this week and I haven't even checked my mail box. It's a locked box and has room to hold about a week's worth of mail. LOL!! I will check tonight.
Glad they can be used? What type of stamp things dose you friend at work like beside House Mouse?
Thanks hotwheels

I think, at this point, she only likes House Mouse but I'm thinking maybe some of these other images might give her an idea as to what other images are out there. I also remembered that two other co-workers also do some cardmaking so what the first person decides what does not interest her, I will then pass on to the other two people. The House Mouse friend is still knew enough that she stamps directly onto the folded base and doesn't typically use any layers or embellishments other than glitter glue so I've been trying to given her some ideas as to what other things she could do. She also works in the Therapeutic Recreation Program at the nursing home where I work and about once a month she does stamping with the residents, so she may find that some of these images will be perfect for that group.
I am basically sorting through the images, taking some of each image and passing the rest on. I'll probably end up keeping a bit more than half. I'm still just so amazed at how many images there were! Thanks again!
