I just got back from vacation, including stops at 2 wonderful stores. I kept the spending somewhat under control. I only spent $95.88, so I'm $4.97 in the red right now. That's not too bad. I would have spent more, but I was unable to find a couple things on my wish list.

and yet another moment of weakness hehehe ahhhh enabler alert lol i have a wish list(HUGE) that my husband is fulfilling this weekend and yes it also includes some nestie dies, cb dies, and maybe even some new pretties!! i can't wait yay BIG HUGS, mary! oh i am in super bad red ;)

Oh... it is bad... since I am not allowed out of the bed, the internet has been my friend... and the website addicted to rubber stamps just cleared out my bank account.... oh no.... and I had to place my friend's order from SU for Sale-A-Bration, so of course, I had to do one for me as well.... and then QVC had a scrap/stamp day yesterday and my husband ordered a bunch of stuff for me which means I don't have to count that, right???? But, my heavens, someone needs to take the laptop and credit cards away! I do not want to know the damage... and at this point, I will be so red because I am not sure when I am going to get back in my stamp room since I am pretty much bed riden for the next several weeks.... maybe I can sneak an hour or so..... ohhhhh..... I am afraid!
I've made some money the last couple days. Yesterday I granted 4 wishes for WRAK and stamped images for 2 swaps. And today I lost 2 lbs when I went to my weigh-in at Weight Watchers. I'm only 12 lbs from goal! This evening it's off to the gym so I'll earn some more.

I know what you mean about the lack of will power. I don't know if I'll get back in the black any time soon but I was thinking about it tonight and this is the conclusion I've come to: I'm stamping and scrapping more, which is good. I'm trying to refrain from spending as much as I normally do, which is very good. And while I'm deep in the red, at least I'm aware of my spending and have cut back alot.
HEy---I am just about even....If they hadn't cancelled my water aerobics class last night,,,I would be ahead..........but I am being careful about what I buy...Last year I kept track on a file card (a large one by the way) of my purchases broken down by store/manufactor and amount...this year I decided to keep an excel file because excel will total it for me LOL!!!!!!!!!

I finally after doing cards for a swap and completing January's CCC am out of the red and have almost $60 to spend. Plus have Febuary's almost finished!!!! However, after next month's stamp club especially since it is saleabration I will be in the hole again but for now I am going to enjoy!

I've got a 50% off coupon for A C Moore (good for today only) so I plan to buy a scalloped circle punch and some more cardstock. Yay!!!!! I also have a 40% off coupon good for this whole week -maybe I can get my DH to use that one for me and buy another punch????
I'm still in the black but my balance will probably be next to nothing when I get done :( I need to get busy again.
I am so excited I just got SCAL for my Cricut. However, I now only have about four dollars left to spend at Stamp club Thursday night and a $25 commitment! Better get to crafting!!!
Oops! I went over just a little yesterday -by 74 cents LOL! It must have been that old sales tax. But I did get 2 punches, a pack of brads and glue dots which I needed so I'm happy.
This morning I finished up the cards I was working on and lost another pound so I'm back outta da hole - Yay!
Now I have to get busy because there are some more things I need as soon as I can get enough saved up to order them! I want to get HOTP's cupcake template to make favors for our Mother and Daughter banquet they'll be so cute on the tables.
I just finished 35 post it note holders for my scrapbook retreat this weekend. Hopefully I'll get lots of LOs done so woo hoo - more earned money! Which is a good thing b/c I am going to be spending it this month. My SU demonstrator gives us 25% one item for our birthday so I'm getting the Big Shot! I am also having a workshop with her so I am also getting a lot of the stuff that goes with it!
BTW, I posted pics of my new craft room in my gallery if anyone is interested. I LOVE IT!!!!

I have to build up a surplus for next month, because my friend is hostess. If she buys lots from me, I have to return the favor. LOL

Ooops! I had to buy the cupcake template from HOTP because we're using that to make tiny favors for our Mother and Daughter banquet at the end of April. That order put me in the red by $14.50. Ugh!
But since I'll be making 60 invitations for the event and at least 60 favors using my supplies, I think I'll be ok eventually!
I am working on my totals fast and furious b/c a friend of mine is having a SU! workshop next Thurs. and of course since it is Sale-a-bration I am wanting to get LOTS of stuff. Here's hoping that I don't overspend TOO much.

I decided that granting a wish was worth $1.00. It's not as much work as making a card, but I'm using more paper. And usually I ruin one or two images when I'm doing them, so I sort of figured in waste too. HTH

I had a great and very productive time at my scrapbook retreat this weekend. I did 30 LOs! woohoo!! I did pull some stuff from my CM inventory to use though. As soon as I unpack and find my list I'll update that total. Hmm... I guess it was good I got so much done, b/c I may used all 30 pages of earnings this weekend.
I am susposed to go to a SU party thursday. I have a 180-200 dollar order. And I don't yet have quite that much "saved up" I had better work pretty hard the next three days. lol.

i decided to join in on this challenge. i realized two things- 1) i need to make more stuff.... and 2) at $1 a card, i am 'paying myself' less than 50 cents an hour (not counting materials LOL)
i do it 'cause i love it... not 'cause it pays well

Glad you joined. I recently joined also (like maybe just a week ago.) I, too realized that I NEED to make more things. I had not sat down and figured out the 'cost' in time to myself. Wow! if we only work for 50 cents an hour our cards must REALLY be bargains. (Besides being hand made works of art)

I updated last night, and i'm right now around $25 negative., but i have so many cards to do this week and next, that I will be back on positive and spending lol ;)

I went away this weekend, and although I did get some stuff done, I wasn't NEARLY as productive as I would have liked... Too much time spent chatting! Not enough time spent stamping!! AND I spent $60 in the store there!! OOPS!
BUT I did get a layout done, which is amazing, because I haven't actually scrapbooked in YEARS!! We also got a Make and Take kit to take home with us, and I put that together yesterday, so I'm counting that as half a layout. It's not my supplies, but normally I would have put it somewhere and forgotten about it, so I'm proud that I actually put it together!!!
I haven't been able to go to the gym in WEEKS because I injured my ankle, but the doctor has given me the all clear (finally) so hopefully I'll get on that again!
I also just put an order in with my SU demo... I have to make my wedding invites, so I had to order all the stuff for that. I am not counting the consumables for that project in my StS budget because it's actually coming out of the wedding budget, but I am counting the non-consumables (stamp sets, ink pads, etc) and also the 'extras' that I just HAD to add on... (sheepish grin...) I am going to credit myself when I make the invites, because I have to make lots of them, and they are complex, so they will take me a while. I think I'm going to credit myself more than I usually do for a card, so we'll see. I haven't figured out a number yet.
Oh wel.... I guess I need to get going.... I need to get caught up!!
Today is my day to go weigh in at WW. I don't know if I lost this week b/c we went and toured the Blue Bell Ice Cream Factory in Brenham last Thursday. I have tried to do the best I can, but I won't know how well until I step on that scale tonight. So I have been a little discouraged about that. However, a skirt that I have had for a long time that has been pretty tight and showed a very ugly tummy fit really well yesterday! Yay! That was exciting b/c I had just been thinking that I haven't noticed anything fitting better. Then today I got out a jacket I haven't worn in like 3 years because it didn't fit (arms too tight and would not zip) and IT fit. Time to party! So even if I gain on the scale I do have something positive to look to.

Congrats on deciding to make your own wedding invites! That is just awesome. I decided not to (almost) 7 years ago and every once in a while wish that I had taken the time to do that . Maybe when my 4 year old daughter grows up she will let me make some for her wedding. lol

i'm working on a swap, so i have been making 6 Card Candies for forever because i want them to put Jolee to shame LOL. but i am being good, i need 6 for the swap, but i'm making 8 sets so i'll have them around for later.
the other day, i saw some nice stamps at Target, but didn't buy them because i am waiting to spend money on other things...(things i never knew i needed 'till i got here, LOL, like a StampA-MaJig, and black permanent inkpad)

i just ordered the bigz top note and the billboard alphabet with their extended decorative strip cutting plates and the extended spacer plates that i am definitley using in my cuttlebug. my husband walked in while i was "working" one evening and i had just rund a cutting die through my bug and ofcourse it leaves the cut mark on the cutting plate and he says, (sweet husband!) oh no is it supposed to do that and i said oh no i guess i need some new ones i didn't know it was gonna do that so that will help explain my up nad coming delivery from my demo which will unfortunately (hahaha evil laugh again) include 7 sale a bration sets. yes i know there are only six but my order called for 7. so ya i am definitely in the
