Congratulations!
I am not doing so well. I blame it on my job. I teach high school, so I have almost 200 students, and tons of papers to grade all of the time. I only have half of my exams graded right now, so I really can't take out time to play. I do the majority of my card making in the summer.

Just wanted to let you all know that I have been keeping up with my stuff on paper, just haven't had a chance to get it on my siggy.

I think my toy purchases today put me back in the red, but once I get some of my eldest son's valentine cards for school made, I should be either close to black, or back in :-)

I went to AC Moore today to spend my $10 rewards coupon. I bought 2 CB embossing folders and some adhesive. Since the adhesive doesn't count, I really spent $0. I wish that happened more often.

Hey Mary

Because I have so many cards to make for all the groups I belong to, I only allot myself 50 cents each for cards/atc's. So if you're doing $1 per card, you could do $1 per X number of inchies or 50 cents per ATC.

I agree with Kelly, because you are still using your supplies and depending on how detailed your cards/atc/ or inchies are you may use the same amount of paper, etc.

those are great ideas. i think i might go for that. so 15 inchies $1, 10 twinchies $1, and 5 atc's $1. now i just need to figure out how to photograph my work, upload without getting it deleted, loading it to the right gallery, and mailing them out and including enough postage for return. hehehe this is already so much fun. i'm glad ya'll are out there and here at the same time. thanks, mary

I have actually been able to keep up with this and watch what I am spending. I feel better about it too! I have not posted too many here lately but all my work is on my blog if interested. I think it is nice that we work on this together b/c I am sure we all know how addicting it can be. I need to update my siggy.

I've decided that I'm going to add one more incentive to my program. I've signed up for the Christmas Card Challenge, and I am going to give myself an extra $1.00 per card (so it works out to $2 per card) IF I can get them done, and in my gallery before the end of each month!! I'm having a hard time thinking Christmas, and I want to be ahead of the game for next year!!!!

I know I joined the Christmas Card Challenge also. I think it is really going to help, especially since I didn't get cards out last year because I couldn't get them done in time.

I finally found this thread - thanks to Martha (creatingisfun) - I will go back and start from January 1st - I'll probably be in the minus, but need to motivate myself
I will count $1 per card and $1 for 30 min workout

Oh and can someone tell me how to add color to the signature line. I want mine to be blue and I cannot figure it out for the life of me.

dorothyjane -

When you edit your signature, on the top menu line over the text box, you'll see the word "fonts" with a drop-down arrow, next to that "sizes" with a drop-down arrow, then the letter "A" with a drop-down arrow.

Just highlight the text you want to change color for, click the drop-down arrow next to the letter "A" and you'll see a color chart. Just click the color you want. I wanted to put in a screen shot for you, but I couldn't copy and paste it into this reply. Does that help?

I just happened upon this thread and have kinda read through the first page. Sounds like a great challenge since last year I spent more than I actually used, so this would be great for me. So I'm subscribing to this thread. Hope I'm not to late to start this.

I earned $7 today. I did my Feb cards for the 2009 Christmas Card Challenge and fulfilled 2 Wish RAKs. I thought I might earn more today, but the weather is yucky and I didn't go to the gym.

Default doing well!

Well, I have not been shopping barely at all this year (which is very uncommon for me, but I will be having hip surgery in less than 2 weeks, so I am not as mobile as I once was) and I have been stamping a lot with the invitations that I had to do.... I have not posted lately, so I thought I would send a quick post of what I have....

Got my Valentine's done - 12
Got all the invites and envies done - 42 (but counted them as $2, so 84)
Got a birthday card done....

Spent very little so I am in the BLACK $78.44.... however, need to get going on next month's CCC so I will not be behind for the month and also need some padding for my SU order on Feb 1... SAB - here I come!!!!!

Ladies, here's a pledge for you to consider to make that monthly quota with your Christmas cards.

Christmas is the 25th of December and in a yahoo group I belong to, we have the Reindeer Club. Which means on the 25th of the month, we work on all things Christmas. Make cards, do last years SC pages, try new cookie recipes, work on gifts, etc.

So my pledge is to have my Christmas Card quota done by the 25th of every month.

And remember, since we're trying not to spend, FREE is always go. If you get your cards done by the end of each month, your name goes into a drawing for free goodies! In Nov. there will be a drawing for a Bigger collection of goodies. FREE is always a good incentive!

Creative Blessings!

This has been a wonderful outlet to use all the supplies I have been hoarding. Oh my gosh, I had no idea I had all this stuff until I started reorganizing. I'm signing up to be a SU demo in February, so this helped tremendously build up my reserve to purchase my kit. I've also found I haven't had to go buy as much because I have been using what I have as a focal point of the cards I'm working on. So if I can just stay on this path, I will be organized and using as I buy ;) At least that's the plan.

So if I can just stay on this path, I will be organized and using as I buy ;) At least that's the plan.
WOW, way to go on your card marking!!

I think I'm doing pretty good so far. I haven't even placed an order out of the new catty yet. ;) I'm just happy to be using stash and been trading alot for things I want. I got Baroque Motifs last night in the mail and it didn't cost me a dime! Last week I got cardstock.

OK ladies, I'd like some opinions here. I was at Joanns today and bought a skein of DMC floss. I specifically bought it to use to make spirellis for my cards. But technically, it's a cross stitch supply (and I do cross stitch). So, do I account for it here? I could go either way - it was only $1.10 with my coupon.

IMO - if you bought it for cards it's counted. If you just need a little bit and then the rest of the skein will go in your cross stitch supplies, than it's not.

Have fun!
