I found this stamp set in an antique store for only $10 and couldn't resist. However, I can't seem to find a gallery for it. If anyone has used this stamp and would like to share their work I would appreciate it.
It's before my time also and since it's so old everytime I search I just come up with the color of paper or ink. But come on - only $10 when it sells for over $30!
Stampin' Up sets that were retired prior to the creation of Splitcoaststampers.com generally won't have a category in the SCS gallery. Items made using those sets can be uploaded to the letter range in which the set would fall, and will show up below the alphabetical listing of stamp sets.
Regal Rose was one of the early sets when 2 step stamping was just starting. One of my older catalogs and the portfolio feature walls done with this set. One of my favorites also, I love classic flower forms.
The best way to coordinate ink colors was to stamp the solid (base stamp) with a pink color. Ink up the stamp with the pink, stamp it off on scratch paper, too soften the color, and then stamp the detail stamp with the same pink at full strength. Perfect coordinating colors.
Well, I just made another card with my Regal Rose stamp set. The lady at the local antique store where I bought it wanted to see what I did with it and see if it was worth the $10. Well yeah!
