Hey yall, A girlfriend of mine and I spent the day yesterday coming up with a new 12x 12 OSW...I made the majority of the cards today and we are both pretty pleased with the results.. I will be posting each card to my gallery but I am going to wait until the server is not quite so slow...but here is the template that we made it from and then the display of the cards! What do you think?
Wonderful!!! I accidentally used a sheet of cardstock instead of text weight paper when I cleaned off my chalk (pastel?) catseye ink pads. So
I just kept going with more colors, and it turned out really pretty. Now I know what to do with it!!!

Ok...here is the best I can come up with for now...I am going to try to figure out how to make this into a template...it may take me a little while due to the fact that I am not sure how to do it!!! LOL
This is the first time I had ever done a OSW...I just had an inspiration to make up my own, half way through I was thinking..."HOW DUMB IS THIS??? WHY DIDN'T I JUST USE ONE OF BEATES?????" LOL But now that it is done and it worked like a charm I am thrilled...there is really only one piece of wasted cardstock...it is the little quarter of an inch piece by the five one by one pieces...I just could not figure out how to use it!!! LOL I will get a list of the colors posted here just as soon as my girld friend sends it to me. She wrote all the combos down and then she was going to type it up and send it to me...they will also be on the list of each one when I upload to my gallery...I will post here once they are all up so that you can see each card better! Have fun! :P

Wow Keri!
I like the pictures! Since I've never done this, do you have any idea how many other sheets of paper you used to make all of the cards? Or did you just use what you had in your scraps?
Thanks for your answer ahead of time,
Kim
Hey there Kimeboss. I am not sure how much it took because you guessed it, I mostly used my scraps!! That is the beauty of this project...I had tons of little pieces that I just used to make the designs...like the one that has the barely banna card with the really rust Celebrate and the other little word...the rust scraps that I had were the same width as the stamped piece so I just used it a little longer and then tore the edges and mounted it on the mellow moss since it was wider... and longer...so it is really a great project to use up scraps for! That is another reason I run the gammet on what colors I used... really rust, real red, ruby red, barely banana, mellow moss, garden green, kraft, nat ivory, blush blossom, cameo coral, basic black....and there are more I am sure!! !LOL
i have been dying to give the osw a try and especially come up with my own, maybe now that i see your beautiful creations i will have enough guts to go for it. although, i really don't use 12x12, so i will probably do it on 81/2x11.
your cards are wonderful! and i have been trying to come up with ways to use my bag full of scraps! this is a perfect solution! is that simple sketches stamp set you used?
thanks
Loretta
Lorretta, The beauty of this OSW is that you can adapt it very easily to the 8.5 x 11 paper...take either the right two or the left two colums and you have one!!! You will just not have the bottom row of the 1.5 x 4 sets... :P
Keri,
It is absolutely wonderful. You did a terrific job. I love the use of the 12 x 12 sheet, your choice of stamps and colors. Absolutely wonderful!!
Debi
That is a huge amount of cards for one stamped sheet and the beauty is that the person incorporated a variety of base cardstock colors that really made the cards look very different.
I have seen this technique before but the cards all looked very similar because the same background color was used for every card!
Thank you so much for taking the time to post the dimensions. Your cards are absolutely beautiful. You've inspired me! I can't wait to get started. :o :o

You've got to be so pleased with yourself!
They are beautiful cards and thanks so much for sharing the template/ and then explaining how cinchy it is to adapt to a smaller cardstock...
You have inspired so many people!
I have stamped a 12x12 of snowflakes and will set about doing some copying of what you've done with some different colours.
It has set me up to get started on some craft fair projects and cards for my husband' s mail out I needed to get at!
Thank you!
