Wow Vic!! I'm very impressed with your determination to stay on course!! Very nicely done!! I did make a Christmas card today, but I don't know how to scan it!!
Karen,
It's only day 2. We'll see if I'm still on track in a few days. LOL
I hope you get your card scanned, I'd love to see it.
About the Cut-n-Dry Felt: I finally gave up finding it locally and ordered it online last year. I used it with the distress re-inkers to make a custom pad for the "Holiday Memories" stamp (the one with the vintage Christmas ads) like he did the first year of tags (2007). I'd been dying to re-create the full color stamp like he did. It was WAY better than any other method I've used. I got dozens and dozens of stamps out of it. I wrapped it in plastic wrap and then put it in a ziplock baggie, and it's still got some juice a year later. I'll have to re-ink a bit, but it's doing pretty great for a custom pad. Plus that stamp is my favorite stamp EVER! Long story short (too late, right?), I'm very glad that I ordered the felt.
I check out the tags as they're posted but haven't made any. Scrapbook.com has a large selection of Tim products. Just put Tim Holtz in the search. If you're looking for his Bigz dies, put Tim Holtz Bigz in the search and they come up. He's so creative.
Look way up about 1600 miles and you'll find me in Manitoba, not many craft stores here to choose from, that's why if the baby wipes work I'm in.....
To make a tag with the look, you can stamp with a black archival in and the color with DIs and emboss with clear. Do one color at a time and then heat. It might not be exactly the same, but it will be yours.
Baby wipes instead of cut and dry felt? Do you need a thick pile of them? Are they still wet or do they need to dry out? do tell, I can't find the cut and dry felt here at all in my city.
I use four or five layers of wet baby wipes. The colors will bleed together a little more than they will with cut n' dry felt, but it's still a pretty good option.

Ok, got day 3's done, but I haven't done the first 2 days....I'll try those at some point. I made my tag out of cardstock, since I didn't have any tags. I use the SU Christmas Cardinal stamp, and I used the distress ink in Peeled paint. I also used a felt poinsettia flower instead of his paper one. I also used ribbon instead of garland at the botton. If I may say so,,,, it turned out pretty well!! I just don't know how to scan it to show you!! Ugh.

I so want to do exactly this!!! Really glad to read that it worked out for you. I might try to do that this week.
I have a few of the supplies as I took a Vintage Christmas card class at Archivers, and really liked it! I have made two tags from just the supplies I bought after the class! They are fun and unique! Wish I had lots more time to make more! Big TH fan here!!
simon says stamp is following along with tim and linking everything he uses in their store! you can also comment on their blog to win one product used that day
another spot for supplies is eclectic paperie (great place, I've ordered from there several times)
i've followed Tim every year he has done the 12 Tags...occasionally tried to make one or two...this weekend is my time to sit down and see how I do at putting together my version of the 2010 12 Tags
I just went into Joann's.com, I chose all of my re-inkers, it says they are 2.99 ea. When I add them to my cart, they are $3.49 ea. do I need a coupon or something? TIA

Since they're 30% off regular price, $3.49 is right.
I've created all 6 tags so far and am having fun playing along. I've posted them all of my tags to my website (in my siggy line below). I've also added them to my Splitcoast gallery but have only just started using the gallery so am not sure how to send anyone there. All of the details are on my website though if you'd like to take a peek anyway.
