I just had to point out that one of the new sets listed is in much better condition too. For $995 one would think that the stamps would be in excellent condition without any ink staining LOL
Kathy- I'm in a mood this afternoon so since I have an e-bay account, I asked the seller how they could make that claim since there are 2 other listings for that set on e-bay.
Just couldn't resist doing it.
That lady is a few bricks short of a load! Geeze and I thought people were nuts for selling some psx stamps for 80-100 dollars each! I just sold 7 of them for $75. I can't rip people off either. Geeze how would you ever sleep or look at yourself in the mirror?
I have a Theory..This persons spouse told them they had sell their valuable SU sets because they need the $$ . They did as told and put their stuff on ebay. This is the set they can't part with... but if someone is dumb enough to pay $995.00 they will make the sacrifice LOL

I actually have that set and am thinking of selling. How about the first $900 gets it.
JK - tho am really considering selling.

Okay...I had to look at the completed auctions for this stamp set and it was listed previously for $349.95 & $200.95.
Here's the description for the $349.95 listing and what I'm wondering is- how come at $349.95 you get free shipping, but at $995 you have to pay $5.50.....LOL
Stampin Up Spooky Spells ~ Discontinued and ULTRA RARE ~ All of the stamps have moderate staining on them. Serious bidders/buyers only please. F.Y. I. Watchers ~ Each time I relist the price of the stamps goes higher. Paypal only ~ Payment is due within 3 days of auction ends. Free Parcel Post Shipping. Please message me with any questions as all sales are final......Thanks for stopping by!
And this part just doesn't make sense! So if an item, doesn't sell we relist it and increase the price by nearly 300%
1. I just checked the sale. It 's states no ? Asked. Can the seller delet ?s w/o answering them? A seller has the option of whether or not to post any questions asked, so they can receive questions on an item and we wouldn't know it.
2.still no idea how she knows how many sets were made?
3. Wonder if she's on SCS and reading this thread? I was wondering the same thing...LOL
F.Y. I. Watchers ~ Each time I relist the price of the stamps goes higher.
This one needs a serious lesson in economics.
Since this auction won't sell, I wonder how high she'll start the next listing? Should we take guesses? Last time it tripled, so I'm going to guess $2,995 for the next listing.

I looked at a couple of other things this woman was selling and most of those sets seemed a bit too high. Maybe she suffers from delusions of grandeur thinking that anyone would pay these ridiculous prices.
I just had a thought. Since this seller is claiming to have the only Spooky Spells stamp set in existence, how about if all of us Splitcoast folk who have this set make cards to sell them on ebay? Then I would like to see what she will try to sell it for the next time.
So what happens if you click on "report seller"? It's an out and out lie that there are no more sets out there. Honestly! I don't believe anyone would pay such an outlandish price, but it burns my bologna to no end reading her description over and over again. I was just trying to see if I was missing something somehow?? LOL
I love Halloween, I love older stamp sets, but I wouldn't even pay $25 for this particular set... PLUS - anyone who tells me to "bid or don't bid, but don't watch" can stick it where the sun don't shine - that's part of what ebay IS, for cryin' out loud! I've had five of the same stamp set on my watch list to see which one was going higher and which one wasn't getting bids and all of that - that's how you know which one YOU want to bid on! She's obviously completely unclear on the concept...
I'm thinking false claims also. Just looked and in the last two weeks one sold for 81.99
Seller inflated for upcoming Halloween. By January it probably will be down to normal price. I even owned this set but sold it a few years ago and probably got 15.00 for it! I love checking completed auctions also! But it's fun to see the seller just eat it!
I just read this in another of the seller's listings-
I am tired of watchers/cheap people ~ either bid or don't bid but don't watch.
I know that was posted in a different listing, but um....hellooooo $995 isn't cheap! Sheesh!
I've never seen that before but if I did I would not deal with the seller if they were giving it away! It's nasty. I buy and sell on ebay and LOVE watchers. It is an indication of how well an item will sell. It certainly is indicative of the personality you are dealing with. After 12 years on there I have had positive experiences. But now that you said this- think I'm going to go in there and watch hit (chuckle)
So the seller has been trying to sell it for six months and keeps raising the price? But nobody bought it from her, so now she expects people to pay MORE for something that has no apparent demand?
I can't wait to see what she sets as the price the next time she lists it!!
In the meantime, those of you who have it, might want to consider how attached you are and go for the gold!
auction is now ended. sadly for this seller there were no takers!
off to bed....................
For this or any of her other items, either! I clicked on "other items" for this seller, and there were ZERO bids on every single one - apparently we're not the only group turned off by her attitude...

Ok, so I was just telling my DH about this (bless his heart for listening to all my stamp talk, hehe) and he totally said I should tell you about my cousin! Which totally made me laugh and think, hmmmm....maybe this is him selling it, hahaha!
Because.....my cousin is kind of a ding dong and this is really kind of sad but really kind of funny and the seller and him could be friends. A couple of months ago we were at my mom's town where he lives and were driving around when we went by his house. Well, he was trying to sell his truck (which he had wrecked and totally messed up) and he had a sign out. Well we drove by and my mom said, "oh my gosh, I think it said for sale $1200.00 or BETTER OFFER!!!!!" LOL! The guys said no way but I said oh he would totally thing OBO means that! So, I made them turn around and sure enough, it said or better offer! LOL! Yes, someone is going to give you MORE money than you are asking for for your piece of trash truck! Oy!
What's sad is that he had NO clue nor did anyone else at his house including his father! So see, this seller and him could totally be friends!
It was relisted (at the same price) when I looked this morning.
Oh now I feel bad. The new auction doesn't complain about watchers, but does say "Now is the time to buy as I will be closing my ebay account at the end of the week. Payment is due within 2 days of auction end. " I wonder if we scared her off.
