UPDATE ON ELIZA!!!

Eliza has received about 20 cards already! She is very excited, thrilled actually. She made the comment that she is getting some everyday and she just can't believe and is raving about the fact that they are hand-made cards and they are being sent to her!!!!

She had a really rough day yesterday after a chemo treatment. She was very very weak, so much so that it was a complete effort just to lift up the remote and change the channel for her 2 year old. It was rougher than normal. My very thoughtful neighbor Ann, went down to check on her and ended up staying to watch the kids while Eliza took a much needed nap. Wish I didn't work full time!! I plan on keeping all of you updated over the next few days, maybe weeks....I can't tell you how I appreciate all of you who made this happen and are continuing to make it happen!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

UPDATE:

Happy day for Eliza on Friday. She got word that she tested negative for the BRCA1 and BRCA2 gene. She is very happy but she says she has mixed emotions....now she is unsure of what the future brings and what direction/surgeries she will require. I think she prepared herself for testing positive and as such, she had a plan mapped out but now that she is negative, she's unsure about things again. Don't get me wrong....she is very, very happy but she's just dealing with alot of emotions!

And guess what? She has a blog. She is documenting everything. You can post comments to her, you can read about her story from day one, and you can see Eliza and her family as well as the stages she has progressed from.
You have to sign up so view the pictures but it is no big deal, it's free. Here it is!

Thank you so much guys. I was over there right have work and her kitchen table was covered with the cards. They are still looking over each and every one. Today I am taking her something to hang them from in her bedroom!

Cindy,

Thanks for posting the address for Eliza's blog. I'll be checking the blog to see how she's doing and I'll try to send some more cards as I have time, just to keep up her spirits!

I'm not sure if sahara sand can be described as a 'neutral color' but I used it as that in this challenge. So here it is...

Sahara Sand is listed as a neutral on SU's color wheel. You made a beautiful card, btw.

Default Don't Duck Your Mammogram

I wanted to do this challenge when it was first posted but experienced stampers block. This week, I wanted to make a card for my friend who has an appointment for a mammogram but needs a little encouragement to keep the appointment. I went to the General Stamping Forum and posted a request for ideas and received a few wonderful ideas. I decided to go with this one that garnetj shared with me.
