I felt like such a dork for submitting cards that clearly broke the rules, that I had to try just one more time. (okay, that plus I wanted to make more cards!)
I actually followed the rules this time: paper and ink, period. No embellishments otherwise. This is my last one, I promise:

Here's my card combining Inspiration Challenge 145. I'm not sure if designing your own bg paper is a technique but that is what I chose to do. Thanks for the fun challenge!

Thank you for hosting, Dawn. The first time I knew that the bandana technique existed was the mention of it on your challenge description. So I did a search on Google.ca and found this bilingual (French & English) video tutorial:

So I cased the card she showed, using different colours and stamps and changing up the focal pieces.
