At first I thought help. I can't really draw freehand, that's why I use stamps LOL. (The rest of my family are more artistic, as in they can really draw. I mean yes, of course I can draw basic shapes but I lack confidence in them. Ever since someone said my donkey was really good in some drawings I had done for Sunday School - I'd spent AGES trying to draw something that looked like a horse, LOL.
So I thought of easy geometric shapes like triangle, house, and then things like hat and flowers.
But in the end I made this little guy who is Fin-king of You and I am so happy with him.
Thank you for such a fun challenge. It really got me thinking this afternoon.
Should that be fin-king...
There are so many fabulous shaped cards on here today for this challenge. I had to try again and yet it is still pretty plain. However I needed a birthday card for a football playing nephew, so I decided to give it another try. As always, thank you so much for looking. I thought about getting home earlier from work and actually posting a challenge before everyone on the east coast is in bed all day today!! I get out early on Fridays ~ Hope you like my mitten - this was a fun challenge!! Here's the link: LSC173 - Very Merry Mitten by Karen B Barber at Splitcoaststampers
I feel like I haven't done a challenge in years. So glad I was able to get one done today. I'm going to try and play catch up tonight with the rest of this week's challenges. Thanks for looking.
Really cool challenge! Here's my Paint the Town. Had a lot of fun w/ this. I'll be back later to view & comment. Yikes, I'm still behind on comments from a couple of challenges. This cast on my hand really slows the typing down. I better get busy! TFL
There is not one stitch of stamping on this- it is simply a 'shape' with DP. I have never made a card like this, but I can imagine a time or two when I may use it.......
Okay, so I didn't clean the house, I went back up and pulled out an old teapot shape card for inspiration and then made an updated version - so I will be posting two more shape cards - these challenges ARE addicting!! I hope I am doing the address thing right below -this is my first time doing more then one card...oh well- here goes - Here they are: LSC173 - I'm a LITTLE TEAPOT..... by Karen B Barber at Splitcoaststampers
Dawn, thanks for stepping in with a great challenge. I think I am over the top with embellishments but wanted to submit for the unique shape. I have a couple of great ideas if I get the chance to do another.
