Thank you for this challenge. I really need to have more Sympathy cards on hand. I hope I get some time to stamp tomorrow. Sympathy cards are a real challenge for me, but unfortunately we all need them from time to time.
Ok, this one was a hard one for me because I kept wanting to add more layers and stamps...less hardware to! Someone restrain me from taking it apart to add a couple more layers under the circle, and a piece of DP to fill some of the empty space!!! - Here is my attempt
Here's my card. This was a great challenge because, like Jen said, it's never easy making a sympathy card when you really need one, so I'm glad to add another to my stash and will probably make at least one more of this one.

OK, here's my screw-up! I used leaves and not flowers, and didn't even remember that rule until I was uploading! I'm headed off to work now, so will check out everyone's creations after I get settled in at my desk! Thanks for looking!
I used a circle cutter instead of scissors for my circle -- I hope that is not a "Cuttlebug or similar tools" but I didn't think of it before I finished - in time to ask! Thanks for the challenge!
I made the Gray Silouettes card and scanned it prior to stamping the With Sympathy sentiment on it. I sent it out this week, so you can't see the words. I got the inspiration for this cards from someone here on SCS. Far be it from me to be original - except for the color combo. I did add silver dots with my Ziggy Paint Pen on the Silver silouettes to make more shine, but you can't see it in the picture.
The Eggplant card was a super easy one to do.
Thanks for this challenge. You don't usually get a lot of warning for a death to make a card, so having several on hand is always a good idea.
Jen, thanks for all these challenges. This is one of my favorites, and I am glad I got to do this one before heading off for a long trip - wil be back on here in a couple of months. I would also like to add - I have had less time than usual to make comments - there are so many lovely examples here.

Heartfelt Sympathy
I made this earlier in the week for a web swap I'm doing. It doesn't fully qualify for this challenge since it's using some DP but it's still nice to look at. I'll do another one after work for the full challenge rules!
