ohmy! I just whipped out a bday card for a friend this morning and sent it with DH to be mailed...and didn't scan it! I think it actually fit this challenge! oh well...back to the stamp table! Thanks for the challenge, Jen!
Since I haven't been able to play all week, I decided to incorporate the color and sketch challenges into this one too. It was tough to do all three with the limited choices of stamps that I haven't used, but I actually came up with one I like. I wasn't sure if we were required to use 3 stamps or if it was 3 or less, so I used the other 2 on the inside of the card - one greeting and one small flower from the Seeing Spots set. I think I managaed to follow the rules for all three challenges.
This card is going to Beate. See what you think! Seeing Spots

My feminine card follows all the rules, but when I did my masculine one, I had forgotten that there is no buckaroo blue marker, so I had to change 2 stamps. The main image was changed and I had to use the speckle from itty bitty backgrounds rather than a sentiment, to make it look like I used the color spritzer tool with both colors of markers. Oops.

Ha, I thought this was going to be easy, but it didn't turn out to be as easy as I thought it would be. Oh well. I'm happy with the result. Now, can I change it to be a feminine one? Let's see.

Love this for limited supplies. It is true to the theme - thank you for all of us who really do have limited supplies. I'll have to give it a try later.
I agree... This one is going to take some strategy! I'm off today as well, but have to do some work before play.
I kept mine very simple. And I fudged just the a little; I only needed one b-day card so I made the second an Easter/thank you for DH's cousin who is always sending occassion cards to my boys. I owe a big thanks to Daiseyfreak for sending me the Ruff Day images...Thanks, Joy!
I laugh at myself because I seem to use this card layout ALL THE TIME, but when you find one that works, might as well use it! The first one is the feminine card and I tried to change the colors to create a more "masculine" card for the second one. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
