Gee---guess I really was out of the loop. But I now have it 2 times.
Better late than never I guess.
Ok,,,,,seriously, I have GOT to get to WORK!!!! Stamp Camps don't just prepare themselves dang it!
Just realized the one I did for the sketch challenge will work for this one too. I did a double challenge card without even knowing it. The button is actually a card board piece of packaging from a set of mirrors I got. there was a bunch of them with twisties through them to hold it in the box. My immediate thought was cool embellishments. LOL
I always hate to do this, but mine from yesterday was faux chipboard - the "v". The power company is turning our electric off from 10 to 4 today to put in a new power pole. I hope to get a card done before I have to leave here at 9:00 so I have a new one, but just in case - here's yesterdays . . .

You all can send me warm wishes to keep me warm today!!!

Here's one more faux chipboard Valentine card. As you might guess, this will NOT be my last card using this technique. I eat lots of Cheerios and have lots of empty boxes! LOL
Great challenge, Jen! Just posted a card last night that fits this challenge perfectly, the heart is a recycled Capn' Crunch box!! Thanks for looking! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I did it - got a new one done before I have to hit the shower! Since I won't have electric all day, I won't be able to comment until much later this evening when that %$#@ power company gets their new pole in. In the meantime, it gave me warm fuzzies (I hope enough to carry me through this going to be cold day) to be able to do a new card for this awesome challenge!!! I'll be doing the bonus challenge as I shiver and post it later this evening! You guys have a fun day - don't forget to send me warm thoughts to keep warm!!!

Jen, what a blast!! I loved creating this - I've never even tried chipboard, let along faux, so this was a learning experience. I think I'm gonna have to start saving those boxes now. Here's mine:
Thanks for the great challenge Jen. We just finished off 2 boxes of cereal this morning so I've got chipboard galore to work with. Now if the baby will be good long enough for me to make something (she's teething).
Did you come into my house? Did you look in my basement? Did you look at my mountain of recycling? Do you know how happy this challenge makes me? AND I just got in a shipment of little magnetic snaps from basic grey that I've been patiently waiting for and have been dying to play with since they arrived yesterday but I was trying to get done my OSW for an upcoming workshop (insert breath here)! Happy day - and it's VSN!!!!!
Hmmm.... Never thought of using cereal boxes as chip board. Good idea - we go through a lot of cereal here with three boys. :-)
Another source for chip board is the cardboard from insperation sheets and many of our other paper products. When I did my one and lonely altered lunchbox, I made my letters out of *chipboard*.
Keep the great challenges coming. I may not post mine very often, but I do enjoy the creativity of our group.
