Hump - I'm all for a "cool off' card and I know bonus points are to add fun and challenge of the theme. But too many challenges say must use die cuts and or punches and many times bonus points are for using them. Those of us who, for whatever reason - often lack of space or lack of money to purchase, or for punches do not have the hand strength to use them - do not not have either.
These are supposed to help us grow and to be fun but it is discouraging when a theme you might like demand these implements.
Be fair, please remember to have some that say no dies or punches for the challenge or the bonus.
LeeBeth, as someone who has been doing the challenges here for well over 10 years, I want you to know that the suggestions for "extra points" are just that; suggestions. I have never had a challenge hostess be anything but accepting and eager to have as many "players" as can! I hope you'll play along, using what you have, because that is always the expectation on the challenge forums here! No rules or "have-to-haves" to play, just be your own creative self using what you enjoy and have available! So happy to see you here in the challenges : )

You must have know what I was doing today.... got a sweet "cool" House Mouse image in a swap, decided to finally do something with it and putting finishing touches on it now.

Hi there LeeBeth, I hope you join in. The use of punches and dies is just an extra little suggestion. I am a sample maker for Robins challenge and the only tools I used was a ruler, blade and scissors. I think hostesses just want everyone to have fun - there are no hard and fast rules and certainly no craft police - gosh I would have been booted out years ago if there were LOL.

I'm sorry you feel this way LeeBeth, Extra points are never necessary and the points are only imaginary anyway. This challenge does not require any tools of any kind except paper, ink and stamps or just paper if you have decorative paper. I hope you will join in the challenge!!

Haven't made any cards for some months as I have been caring for a family member so it was great to be able to take part in an SCS Challenge. The card I made has lots of cool colours of the sea - hope you like it
