SBTC43 NOVEMBER 17, 2006

What's going on girls? I am so happy the weekend is finally here...and I am ready to scramp! I have come up with a fun little technique challenge for you to try this week.

FLOURISHMENTS!
Yes, flourishes have become extremely popular in scrapbooking and stamping these days and it is easy to see why. The results of using flourished images on pages are quite stunning. I think this is a very elegant addition to scrapbooking and so girly depending on the use.

Your Challenge: Add a FLOURISHMENT to your page.
Examples: Stamp a flourishing element, cut out a flourish, draw your own flourish, paint on a flourish, use a template, chipboard flourish's...Whatever your heart desires. Just get those flourishes added to your page(s).
Have fun beautifying your pages with FLOURISHMENTS!

Check out the samples below for some added inspiration...

Chipboard Flourishes: Kerilou's Remember Page
More Chipboard: sarbear's Sweet Pea
Stamped & Embossed Flourishes: Arlene Mantle's Ancestors
Dry Embossed Florishes: basement stamper's Quotes to Live by
Patterned Paper and Stitched Rub Ons: stampin-sunnychick's Diva

Please remember to upload using the code, SBTC43. Also, come back to this thread and post a link so we can easily see your lovely flourishments.
Please no uploading on Sunday's!

Talking AWESOME!!!!

Love this idea Tracy!! I'm very flattered that you used one my pages for a sample! THANKS!! That was the first and only time I've used flourish designs on any of my pages!! So I will need to get thinking again on this!! I'd like to try a different way to use them now!! Great challenge idea!!!;)

I have no idea what you mean by flourishments. Hope this qualifies.

I am new to all these challenges and was looking for some scrappin' inspiration when I came upon this challenge. I would love to try, but.....dumb question here....don't laugh....what is a flourishment?

usually you think of flourishments as scrolly swishes, there are stamps like the white scrolly stamped ones on the vellum on my layouts, chipboard, cut out papers, etc. hope this helps.
If you are interested there are challenges going on right now in the Virtual Scrapbook Forum.
this is the list of all the challenges. There is a chat thread for each challenge that you can go into and ask questions.
