Hey ladies I wanted to apologize for not having sample pages for the last 2 weeks. I left town urgetly last week because my grandfather had a triple bypass, they thought it would be 5 or 6 but they did 3. Since I was gone last week, I didn't take pictures on St Patty's therefore I have nothing to scrap, unless of course you'd like to see the hospital we sat in all day, LOL! Thank you all for your understanding and I will be back on track next week with some pages and some themes that will KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF!!!!!!
SBTC13- YOU CHOOSE THE THEME
Theme Challenge #1-
Kissin Irish- With St. Pattys Day behind us lets see how you spent the day or night. Show us what you did on this special day, show us the fun. It can be with anyone, anywhere doing whatever it is you do in honor of the Lucky Irish. The challenge YOU HAVE to use AT LEAST 3 clovers on your page. Dont forget to journal.
Theme Challenge #2
Green Monsters- We have all at one time or another helped make a Leprechaun trap, glitter clovers, pots of gold, etc. Show us your little ones, kids, nieces, nephews, grandkids, kids you babysit making their St Patty Day crafts. Even if you dont have a picture of them doing the craft take a picture of the craft, they should be coming home this weekend and scrap it. The challenge YOU HAVE to have the CHILD journal or at least dictate to you. Ask that child what they think of their artwork and what it means to them; even if that child is an adult they can answer a few simple questions. **Note: if you have no pictures of St Pattys feel free to substitute with any childs craft
Scan or take a photo of your work, upload with SBTC13 (no spaces) in the keywords, and post it here for us all to see.
*Tip: If you like you can type what your journaling says in the notes section of your upload in your gallery.
Remember there are NO UPLOADS on Sundays, as the wonderful ladies that approve them need a day off too!
***VERY IMPORTANT NOTE*** When UPLOADING your pages PLEASE scroll thru the list of categories and place them in 12 X 12 or 8-1/2 X 11 Scrapbook Pages!! The mods are constantly moving uploads to the appropriate category, and if we all place them in the right place it would save them a lot of time. (((hugs))) Thanks sooo much!
Lisa, I have to say this is one of the hardest challenges for me. My DH has a real problem with St Patricks day, so we totally ignore it. Guess I'll concentrate on the sketches for a change, which will be strange as I usually do the theme's first.
Lisa, I am glad that your grandfather is recovering well - thank you so much for your theme challenges every week - LOVE you for doing these!
Peggy, we don't do anything for St Pattie's either - but small print on Theme 2 is any child's craft project - maybe there you go!
Oh man what a great idea! Phooey Why don't I think to take pics on everyday dyas or even when we do somethng somewhat mundane. Everyyear for St. Patty's we make Cinnamon Irish Potatoes (they are candy not real taters, but yummy) And I never think to take pics!

You'll have to make more this weekend just to take pictures

You kow I thought about doing that! Too bad cause I made some yesterday to take with me to my biblestudy cause I missed last week! Ohh maybe I can make some now to take to ds baseball game hmmm......
Oh shucks...I should have took a pic of the bruise my pitiful stepson had on his arm from his GF b/c she thought he didn't wear GREEN!!!!
Yeah, I was a bit shocked too...The bruise was rather HUGE! Teenagers...*sigh*
I am so into the kid theme...I have a pile of my boys creations that I have saved with pages in mind and have yet to actually scrap them! WHOO HOO I have to do them now!
Love these Lisa...And I finally have the sketch challenges up...Sorry for the delay...
I am going to try to use some pictures of DD's artwork- I brought one of her watercolor's to be framed and... (well, see the page for the rest of the story- too funny).
Am going to try to do both the theme and sketch challenges this week- crazy at work, so we'll see...
Have a great weekend everyone- I'm camping with the Brownies tonight!

OK ladies I hear you all loud and clear, St Patty's pictures are hard to come by. To make it a bit easier I'm going to give you an alternative to Theme #1.
Scrap ANYTHING but you have to be in at least 1 pictureAND you have to incorporate GREEN into your layout.
REMEMBER-this is an alternative, if you have St. Patty pictures, I'd LOVE to see them!!!

My family often wonders if I'm still alive and they've nicknamed me "the invisible parent"! Of 270 vacation pics, I appear in about 7, which is near a record (and only happened because they came from someone else's camera!)

Same here!!! And I did just that for last weeks challenge! :???: BUT
I have a whole St. Patty's Day birthday party, I just need to run up to CVS and get them printed! ;)
OK, ladies we all have at least 1 picture hidden away somewhere. I can totally relate, I NEVER take pictures of myself but there are moments that I can't avoid, go find them, hurry!;)
Since you were so wonderful to give us an option on Theme challenge 1 Lisa, I had to get this challenge done, even though I don't know if I'll be able to squeeze in another one. At least these pictures were taken in the month of March!! I made the green background and had fun with this layout, once again photos with our DGD
Whew! VSN was crazy fun, but it's over now and I can get back to "normal"!
I happen to have the perfect photos to use for the St. Patty's day theme, I just have to go get them printed tomorrow! I hope I can get the pages pulled together fast enough!

Here is a page for the #2 Theme Challenge, the non-St Patty's option! I am going to scrap a page for #1 also - yes there are a couple (not many though) of pictures with me in them! But I may not get those done before noon tomorrow. Thanks, Lisa, for these challenges! Lots of scrappin' going on!
Here is a dps for the challenge #1 non st patty's option. It's Thanksgiving 2002 where I am in the pictures - amazing! I am wearing green (not amazing) and used green in the layout. PLUS, my personal challenge, I used patterned paper - TWO! AND used a small amount of hodge podge - no hoarding here! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Here's mine, here's mine!! I LOVE this page! Thanks for giving me a reason to scrap the photos now instead of them sitting on my hard drive for a year.
