Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites for Week Ending SATURDAY, June 2, 2018
The start of a new month means it is my turn to start this week's CAS Favorites thread (Lucky me!!). After a week of being crafty almost every night last week, I found myself with no crafty time this week. I'm hoping that means that tomorrow I can spend a good chunk of time in my craft room.
While crafty time was non-existent, I did find some time to pop into the Gallery a few times this week. As usual, I was not disappointed. Here are some of the cards that captured my CAS-loving heart:
DAD You're a Star by jeanmanis I loved Jean's star border and bold sentiment - fun, but not over the top whimsical - perfect for Dad.
Patriotic Thanks by Hambo The size and font of this "thanks" works so well over the printed American flag - easy to replicate card and perfect for any active serviceman/servicewoman or veteran.
Poppy by CherylQuilts Cheryl's coloring style on this poppy caught my eye right away. The tall, narrow sentiment provides a great balance with the shape of the poppy.
Hello, Beautiful! by jeanmanis A second favorite from Jean this week. I loved the vibrant colors on her flowers and feel the light blue behind them softens the edges between the flowers and the white card base.
Now it's your turn - join the fun and share with us which CAS creations gave you joy this week.
Note: While we know you all love CAS, this doesn't mean we don't appreciate a good non-CAS card. If some of these non-CAS beauties found their way into your favorites this week, we encourage you to post them on this week's regular favorites thread.
This thread is open to everyone and is a great way to recognize the work of SCS's many talented CAS artists.
There are really only two "rules" here on the thread:
The Gallery posts you link to should be in the CAS style...
-------------------------------- And what does it mean to be Clean and Simple?
It's all about the design.
* Uncluttered
* lots of white or open space
* one main focal point --------------------------------
...and they should be from the past week.
Did you find your way to this thread because someone listed one of YOUR creations as a favorite? In addition to saying thank you, we encourage you to pay that smile you're probably wearing right now forward by sharing a few of the cards/projects YOU favorite-ed this week.
If this is your first time being mentioned in this thread or you have a new blog we have blog badges found here in this post.
Need help linking your Favorites? Follow these steps:
1. Load this week's Favorites thread in your first browser tab. Scroll down and click the Go Advanced button.
2. Open a second tab (or a separate window). Go to the Gallery and click on "My Favorites."
3. Click on a card you have saved. At the top, highlight the web address. Hit Ctrl+C to copy.
4. Switch back to the first tab. Type the cardmaker's SCS name, add a couple of spaces and hit Ctrl+V to paste your link there. Hit Enter twice to add a blank line.
5. Repeat as many times as needed for all your links.
6. Click the Preview Post button and check that your links work. Then click the Submit Reply button.
Thanks so much, Jen, for mentioning my card on your list. I truly appreciate it. Thank you, Karen, for giving of your time each Sunday to bring the "happy news" to other stampers. Hugs, sallie
Thank you Debbie for starting the list. Thank you Karen for volunteering your time to send the notifications. I really appreciate you taking the time to notify.
