This thread is open to everyone and is a great way to recognize the work of SCS's many talented CAS artists.
There are really only two "rules" here on the thread:
The Gallery posts you link to should be in the CAS style...
--------------------------------
And what does it mean to be Clean and Simple?
It's all about the design.
* Uncluttered
* lots of white or open space
* one main focal point
--------------------------------
...and they should be from the past week.
Did you find your way to this thread because someone listed one of YOUR creations as a favorite? In addition to saying thank you, we encourage you to pay that smile you're probably wearing right now forward by sharing a few of the cards/projects YOU favorite-ed this week.
If you have favorites that don't fit the Clean and Simple thread, we encourage you to share them on the regular Favorites thread.
If this is your first time being mentioned in this thread or you have a new blog we have blog badges found here in this post.
Need help linking your Favorites? Follow these steps:
1. Load this week's Favorites thread in your first browser tab. Scroll down and click the Go Advanced button.
2. Open a second tab (or a separate window). Go to the Gallery and click on "My Favorites."
3. Click on a card you have saved. At the top, highlight the web address. Hit Ctrl+C to copy.
4. Switch back to the first tab. Type the cardmaker's SCS name, add a couple of spaces and hit Ctrl+V to paste your link there. Hit Enter twice to add a blank line.
5. Repeat as many times as needed for all your links.
6. Click the Preview Post button and check that your links work. Then click the Submit Reply button.
Thanks for starting the thread, Diane. I don't think I could cope with your heat at all! But here in Vancouver, we haven't really felt like it's been summer yet - unseasonably cool day after day.

Thanks so much, Susab, for mentioning my card. A lovely surprise......and I appreciate it. Thank you, Karen, for taking the time to let me know. Hugs, Sallie
Well, I can't find the regular favorites so I'll list my very few here. Of course It would have been a big list if I had been able to see all the cards from this week, you are all so very talented!!! No formatting I guess.
This is my first time to leave my own CAS favorites, and I HOPE that what I consider CAS is what others do too. If I've messed up, please know that it's unintentional.
I have always admired CAS cards, especially the construction and to be able to express what one wants to say in this very clean style. I struggle especially with masculine cards, and this past week, I needed to make 2 for a very special male in my life, my much loved nephew, who turned 18, plus I made his graduation card. I haven't uploaded them yet but will be doing so soon.
I'd say that the CAS cards that I have made have mainly been masculine cards as well as a number of my hand-stitched cards-- a large set of 50 hand-stitched for my Mom, who is a master cross-stitcher that I am uploading gradually contains many that are CAS, plus I have been making some new hand-stitched ones for myself to send that I need to upload that are in this style. For the most part, I realized that I have wanted the stitching to take center stage... But, I have MUCH to learn about this style, and I look forward as I check out what others have uploaded to learn more. Hopefully I will improve each week as I go. I will certainly appreciate your input and advice to help me learn along the way.
Here goes, these cards quite honestly knocked my socks off (well, figuratively, we're in a giant heatwave in Southern Ontario, no socks being worn here!!!), such wonderful talent is found on this site and I appreciate learning from viewing your cards as well as your narrative as to how you created your works of art.
For some reason, these below wouldn't format, and so I went back in and listed beside each member's name the title of their card. I apologize for this, and I hope that the information I have left makes the notification process for the wonderfully dedicated notification team easier. If there's something else I can do, please let me know, I am so sorry.
I look forward to checking out the other CAS favorites, and to uploading often CAS favorites of my own in the coming weeks and months. I hope that everyone had a great week. Life is very different and we are all having to adjust, but there are so many blessings in our lives, and for me, one giant one is this crafting hobby and meeting so many great artists on SCS who have encouraged me and taught me so much about card-making. Blessings,
Thanks so much Joanne, for the mention of my Friend card here....much appreciated.

xx Karen
