Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites for the Week Ending December 26, 2010
I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas full of the spirit of hope, peace, joy, and love!
First, an ANNOUNCEMENT! Judi, who starts the Favorites of the Week thread, came up with an excellent idea. Next week, the Favorites and CAS Favorites threads will look back over the past year and shout out the BEST OF 2010. I plan on scrolling back through my favorites folder and picking about ten random favorites (because no WAY could I narrow it down to one or even rank them!), in addition to sharing favorites from the week. What a fun way to ring in 2011 by looking back at our favorites from 2010 and sharing again those that totally knocked our socks off!
I hope y'all enjoy this enough to make it an annual tradition!
But now, to our regularly scheduled programming: The CAS Favorites from the week ending December 26, 2010. If you're new to this thread, please feel free to jump in and participate! We post links to our favorite cards from the past week's gallery uploads so everyone can see what they missed and so these wonderful CAS artists can feel a little extra love for taking the time and effort to include their creations in the gallery.
Here's my list to get us started!
Clear and Simple posted this super simple yet oh so very cute Back-to School pencil card
TheresaCC created a beautiful winter scene for her Christmas Train to pop right out of
cookiebaker's CAS Christmas Card set shows how you don't need anything but one image, a bit of embellishment, and a folded piece of cardstock to make a simply wonderful card
whoistracy made a kraft-on-kraft Simple Tree card that shows clever use of texture and embellishments while keeping her design so very clean
k dunbrook has made a lot of stunning white-on-white-with-black-and-a-touch-of-silver cards this season (I'm the pround recipient of one...thanks, Karen!!!), and today's favorite from Karen is yet another gorgeous one in her series
keuby layers text and image beautifully in her Christ the Lord one-layer card
Piali showed how the right paper can make a huge impact on a CAS card by using this gorgeous speckled paper as her base for a fabulously CAS, one-layer Happy Holidays card set
Glenda J posted a lovely Inspired Thanks card using lovely A Muse patterened paper and three perfectly placed pearls
stampingout used some amazing black rhinestone flourishes under her flourished MFP heart to create a fabulously dramatic Valentine; she also made a fun and free Life is Good card!
stampkinz used lace on a CAS card (hard to do!) for the CAS98 challenge that turned out simply perfect
ccbooboo used just paper and ink to make a fresh and fabulous (and flat!) Masculine Birthday card
Now it's YOUR turn! Please share your favorites from the past week's CAS uploads. And many, many thanks to everyone who participates in the CAS sub-community here at SCS. What an amazing source of inspiration it is to so many people...and it wouldn't be nearly as rich and wonderful if it weren't for each and every person who shares their work here.
Oh thank you so much Susan, for the mention of my All Snowy and White card. I am really honoured to be mentioned here with all this wonderful talent. Very Appreciated!!

I hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend. I sure am. Here are three that I have this week. My list is short as I didn't get much time to play or be in the galleries this week.
Such a great Christmas present - thank you Susan! And I agree the "best of" list will be super amazing to check out on New Year's....hope all had a wonderful holiday!
I love the idea of a 2010 favorite; it will be difficult to narrow down to just one card... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?
life is something that happens only when you run out of cardstock
Thanks, Trish, for mentioning my card -- and to Karen, for letting me know! I'm a little (no, a lot) under the weather today so this sure brightened my day.
Thanks so much Trish for mentioning my card "In Stitches". It is exactly 1 year to the day since I started uploading cards to SCS and this couldn't be a better anniversary present.
Blessings,
Elizabeth
Thanks so much to Diane, Trish, and Lisa for mentioning two of my cards as CAS Favorites this week!! How delightful to be named along with such talented CAS stampers. We are under a blizzard warning through 6 pm tomorrow and wide power outages are expected. I feel lucky to have been able to see this week's listings.
