I had to move the gallery this morning from another section - it might have been syncing when you looked, or I hadn't moved it yet. My little overachiever.
I’m all caught up!
Busy days ahead, celebrating Christmas early with extended family.
I will check back again next week for tomorrow’s challenges.
Enjoy your weekend, everyone!
Good mornnnnnning! Our final tutorial is up early because we're about to hit the road - little weekend trip to Texas to pick up my son from college and say hi to my brother and his family and see Brian Regan Saturday night! I am leaving work at home and looking forward to a little break before another busy week. Thank you for another fun Falliday Fest!
I have managed to stay caught up, so hopefully will get the new ones done today and tomorrow!
Have a safe trip! Texas sounds better than the dreary snow/rain mix in Chicago suburbs!
Snow started here a half hour ago and has covered the driveway already! It's small flakes but lots of them! We are supposed to get 2 to 4 inches today!
Well, I have uploaded the 11 cards that I got done. For some reason, I am stumped on two of the challenges--Lisa's (Shoe Girl) Nutcracker Ballet challenge, and Anita's (snietje) Wreath Card challenge. My mojo just won't go there. But there is time, so if my brain comes up with any ideas, I'll get crackin'...lol...and finish these two card challenges. I haven't tackled any of the Blitz Tutorials either...sigh. Not enough time for both, I guess, and I really NEEDED the cards! :-)
A huge, huge THANK YOU to everyone who comes up with these wonderful, inspirational challenges, and all those who work tirelessly behind the scenes, making sure everything gets to where it needs to be, fixing all the glitches, etc.! I so appreciate Falliday Fest--it gives me great ideas, and a chance to catch up on my holiday cards!
Now for some gallery-gazing!

Just finished my last challenge and all are uploaded. I haven't played in these big challenges for a while, will we be getting instructions to post to a master thread or something? Anyone know?

Thanks to all of the wonderful hostesses for the fun challenges this year! I'm using lots of stuff from my stamping supplies that I've hung onto for years! Yay! I'm also getting Christmas cards made to send out...which I'm sure won't be on time this year! Oh well...

Lydia's last challenge has me stumped right now and I have to admit some of the tutorials are too much for my pre-Christmas brain - anything 3D is a challenge at the best of times!

I knew there was a recycle challenge but, it was not showing up in the master list (print able check list sheet ) so, Now I think I have a whole list of "to-Do" and it looks like I have 9 challenges done and 1 tutorial done. so that leaves me with 4 tutorials? or 5 and 4 challenges? ( I think) its not a big thing to me if I don't make a "queens" list but, everything I seen looked good so, it was more of a want to try it thing than a Have to get it done thing. kwim?
If there is a yeti thread for those who did them all, it will probably not go up until the posting deadline.
I saw previous years and guess a YETI is someone who completed all the challenges and tutorials, but what does it stand for?
I am guessing that we will upload our completed list later, but just curious how YETI became the term they use!
If I remember one year there was a furry little YETI ( like a what was it called abominable snowman?) type figure as a mascot for the challenges. something like that.
It looks like Falliday Fest started in 2016 (at least that's all I could find), but I found a thread in 2017 that referred to all who completed the challenges and tutorials as yetis.
I too have finished all the challenges and tutorials. It was a fun two weeks....Now I need to make 5 more of the big bag-a-lopes as I have decided to fill one for each grand child that is hopefully coming for Christmas...the oldest is currently in the Air Force stationed in Alaska so NOPE, he won't be home for Christmas this year.....Note to self" look for healthy stuff for those bags....and bulky fun things so that each bag doesn't end up costing grandma a fortune......any one have ideas....I have already thought of new toothbrushes and tubes of toothpaste, combs/brushes for hair(5 of them are boys....hair things for the girl, deo for two of the boys, maybe some special super hero bath gels????Help me out gang...

Pansy, are the girls old enough for makeup? Or nail polish? Toe separators for nail polish for the girls? Fun pens for the girls, glitter pens! Hair accessories! Hand lotion, gift card for their favorite fast food places, favorite snacks, trail mix, etc...
only one girl Ann and she turned 18 in October and is graduating early from HS and going to college away from home in january.....so yes she wears makeup and all the stuff you mentioned....except i don't know what kind she likes...I may put some dorm emergency things in there...like real silverware and some batteries for who knows what and ---they have a microwave and small fridge provided in the dorm rooms so could send some snack things or meals for one I think.... and the boys coming are 17, 9 8, and 7 year old twins....the 9 and 7's are sibs as are the 17 and 8....17 als0 graduates this year but he is staying in town and going to community college as it basically will be free by the time they give him choir, band and theater scholarships.....

If the teen's are driving, gift cards to gas stations or coffee shops are big hits? ( when they are old enough to buy their own gas and coffee they seem to love those cards more anyways)
Movie theater cards go over well for me too.
for the one that is not home, I think it depends on where they are in their training as to what they can have. ( sometimes when they are new they don't have a lot of space to store things) but, it seems to me say if they have an iphone an Apple gift card would be fun because, they can get new music or something in their phone and not have it be clutter?
I guess I am big on gift cards now a days. ( but, I am not buying for littles)
I finished all my cards and the blitzes, I just have to upload them. Had a rough week with Nick. Getting ready to do that now. I always enjoy Falliday Fest. I'd rather be in my craft room making cards than anything else. My friends don't understand that.
Hugs,
All done after a few battles today. Need to think about getting real stuff done for Christmas now and praying we will be able to get public transport home from London tonight. We are booked to go to the carols at the Royal Albert Hall but today's snow and tomorrow's rail strikes could make travel interesting. Hubby checked and there is only 1 day between now and the 8th January when there isn't some kind of disruption. Going to enjoy the carols though!

I have shocked myself this year by doing 3D and interactive cards! It used to be a hard no for me, but dies make the world a different place! I remember in my early days of Splitcoast I was floored by people who could take the Scor-Pal and make a box - I was like WHAT??
