If you are looking for another opportunity to do Bible Art Journaling, we will be working through the story of Joseph in October. 12 verses | 12 lessons on Genesis 37-50. I will post on Monday, Wednesday & Saturday. Here is a link to the first post in the series explaining it Artsy Faith: 30 Days with Joseph | Genesis 37-50 Joseph
This came about through preparation for something else. I was so excited about this something else and had felt led to prepare a teaching on Joseph. I was in the study phase (meaning I hadn't written anything yet -just reading, praying and studying) and the plans fell through. I couldn't understand why I had so clearly felt led to do this to only have the opportunity slip away. I had already selected verses to BAJ for my personal journey and then it hit me, why not share this on my blog. This is a very personal journey and I feel a little exposed. I feel like the preparation for the other was a way to ensure I would do the hard thing and dig deeper on my blog.
Thank you for being a place where I feel safe to share.

Thanks Joan for letting us know! Sometimes the Lord has a way of preparing us for something entirely different than we thought and it sounds like you have found a way to honor and praise Him through your Bible Art Journaling even though the outcome may have not been what you had planned :-)
I am looking forward to seeing your lovely work and getting to know you better! I have not had a chance to do any BAJ this month but have been studying :-)
Praying all is well with you - I know that I personally have not been able to journal as I would like during this time of Christmas celebration but definitely plan on starting again in the New Year!!
The monthly challenges have no end date and I have started threads for the November and December challenges under the Faith Based Challenge Forum
I'm new to bible journaling but was wondering if any of you use your Stampin Up markers in your bible and how well did they turn out?
TIA
Angel
Welcome Angel to Bible Art Journaling!! I have not tried my Stampin' Write Markers yet but just tried my Blushing Bride marker to see how it would work.
Without prepping the page (using Clear Gesso to protect the page), the Stampin' Up! Marker definitely leaves a shadow- I tested it out on a page in the back of my Bible for notes.
When I tested the marker out on the back of a page that I had previously prepared with Clear Gesso, I did not notice any shadow/bleed through at all.
If you have an area in your Bible (maybe in the back - index or notes), I would recommend testing the markers out to see if the bleed through/shadow would be OK with you :-)
Have fun and I hope you will share your Bible Art Journaling with all of us here at SCS :-)
I have just started Bible Art Journaling and found this thread. It's there another current thread somewhere? I would love to join in on challenges and chatter if there is one.

Hi Shana!
Welcome!! Yes, I need to start the October thread and will do so in a moment. The previous month's threads are under Splitcoaststampers Forums, Stamping Stuff, Splitcoast Challenges, Faith-Based Challenges and each thread starts with Bible Art Journaling- xxxx (month).
We are all beginners and we are posting to a special gallery (noted in the threads) :-)
Life has gotten very busy for me (my hubby has a rare blood cancer and has chemo bi-monthly and will be having surgery tomorrow to remove a melanoma from his temple area). I want to Bible Journal but at this time, have just been able to keep up with doctor's appointments, etc. and encourage others who are able to Bible Art Journal :-)
I will respond with the October thread link shortly ...
