Hi Everyone!! I hope all of you are doing well and survived April Fool's Day :-)
My hubby (Dave) and I do not play tricks on each other for April Fool's Day but he did mention that it was "National Non-Believer's Day" and I said "Really?" ...He said, yes, since "a fool in his heart says there is no God"....Psalm 14:1.... Dave mentioned he heard this on one of the Christian radio programs that we listen to as part of a joke- the Atheist walked into the courtroom and demanded that they have a holiday and the judge said, "Son, you already have one- April Fool's Day" :-) So sad, praying for those who do not believe.
The April 2016 theme will be "Life". This theme runs through the Bible is so many ways, Creator, Redeemer, Savior...Genesis, Psalms, New Testament.
John 10:10b "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (NKJV)
Optional Technique- Colored Pencils
Again, please remember that there is no right or wrong way to journal in your Bible or if you prefer, you can just use an art journal. It is not about how great your artwork looks but it is a creative worship time between you and the Lord.
So let's grab our colored pencils (or acrylic paints, markers, pencils, watercolors, crayons)- whatever your heart desires or you have on hand and worship the Lord with our creativity!!
Again, if you are unable to actually journal at this time, we would love for you to join in and "chat" so we can encourage each other, share ideas as well as see your art in the gallery when you are able to create.
Just a reminder:
We have our own gallery to load our journal pages-
Once you enter the "Upload A Card" click on the arrows next to the windows under "Select Galleries"- in the first window select "Anything BUT a Card", in the second window choose "Books, Handmade Albums and Journals" , in the third window choose "Art Journal Pages" and then a 4th window should appear and choose "Bible Art Journal Pages" .
Also, please use all three of these keywords when you post to the gallery- BAJ16, BAJ1604, Bible Art Journaling (remember to separate each with a comma) and if you have time, please come to this forum to link your journal page so we can be inspired by your work and encourage you with some "love" ...
I am so looking forward to seeing how you interpret the "Life" theme into your Bible Study/Bible Art Journaling! There is no deadline so even though this is am April theme, you can link whenever you desire...
Woohoo!! I am planning on finally being able to jump in and join you with my new Inspire Journaling Bible (been waiting for this Bible since December). It has over 500 journaling illustrations ready for coloring, etc. plus plenty of blank pages for your own journaling. I will not be able to fully start until after I file our taxes but am so looking forward to worshipping creatively :-)
Looking forward to joining in this month's challenge! Thanks so much Julie for all the work you do on this. It's so much fun to work toward a goal and try a few out of the box ways to add variety to my Bible art-journaling. Have a blessed week!
Life......this should be fun! I'm on it! Thanks, Julie!

So many wonderful verses to consider, but I chose Colossians 3:2-4, with the focus verse, "For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God." I really want to think about how I am hidden in Christ and what that really means. From that worship time a second page was born. I posted this to my gallery.
I entered another challenge from a FB group to use the colors orange and lime green so I combined challenges.
Diane, I agree with Sharon- gorgeous!! Love the use of those colors (definitely out of my comfort zone as well) plus the butterflies, the words - all of it is just so encouraging! Thanks for the inspiration- hugs and have a blessed week!!

How are you doing on your BAJ journey?
I have the large print one on order for shipment when it comes out 9/1 - I can't see to read the regular print - large or giant is what I look for
Well, I may be at the end of the month but I do have my page to upload and hope I do it right. Please bear with me as this is my first attempt at bible journaling.
This linked perfectly and what a wonderful start to your Bible Art Journaling!! So thrilled that you were willing to share with all of us- have a blessed week, my friend!
