Sorry, this thread has been started a bit late :-) I have been struggling to keep up with online forums since my weekend home (that I am remodeling and spending part of the week at) does not have any internet access. I am hoping to have this resolved within the next few months.
I love using Scripture on my cards and projects to spread the Gospel through art! This challenge has been created to encourage you to use Scripture verses on your cards or other projects and share them with us.
You could try to memorize the verse that you use as you create, but that is not a requirement of the challenge.
I know that not everyone has a large collection of Scripture stamps, but there are many sources for free digital "stamps"- you can just copy and print verses from Bible Gateway (BibleGateway.com: A searchable online Bible in over 150 versions and 50 languages.). This source is a fabulous way to search Scripture as well as key words, etc.
Also, Word Art Wednesday offers a free digital verse every two weeks on their challenge site (Word Art Wednesday). You can copy and save their verses from their site or download from Bible Gateway (which you could re-format on your computer).
So, the 2024 Divine Design Bible Verse Challenge guidelines are simple:
1. Please create a card and/or project with a Bible verse printed, stamped, hand-written or computer generated.
2. Upload a picture of your project to the Gallery and use the keyword BVC24in the keyword area so we can see your artwork when we search the gallery.
3. If you can, please copy the URL of your gallery upload and post to this thread so we can all check out your creation!
That's it! As I mentioned above, while the goal may be to post one project per month, you may post more than one and, if you are unable to post in a specific month, post the next month. We do not want anyone to feel pressured but would love to see you use more Scripture on your cards and projects.
If you have any questions at all, either comment in this thread or feel free to PM me.
Thanks, Julie for setting up the new thread for 2024! Your suggestions are wonderful. Thank you for the encouragement to use God's Word in our card-making. Be safe!
Thank you Diane for inviting me to this thread. Thank you all for taking the time to have a peek and hopefully be inspired to create your own. Blessings.
Thank you Diane for reminding me of this forum. I hope to havecat least one project to feature scripture every month. Today, I made a couple of bookmarks for a church friend who goes into local coffee shops every morning to see if anyone needs help, and she brings a book to read. She likes leaving scripture bookmarks behind whan she leaves. Sunflowers for Sharon by yellowrose46 at Splitcoaststampers

I personally don't like the white blob of the verse, and I tried to pull it off but the foam tape was already firm, so I had to leave it. Sometimes if you try and fix something on the card, you just end up wrecking the whole thing, so I decided to leave well enough alone! 😅
Ladies, so glad to see all of you here! I finally had a chance to create a card and upload to my gallery (I am still without internet most of the time )
I have been watching this thread, and hope to join in. I tried to find printed digital verses but cannot find them on the listed website. How do I find them? Thanks

I have a friend who puts the scripture from Bible Gateway into WORD then she does something to format it then sends me an attachment in an email...then I can print the attachment from my computer.
I personally don't know how to get digital scripture any other way.
I happen to have quite a few (about 75) scripture stamps mostly from other people when they were getting rid of them.

@mac4551 It's easy to make your own verses. I use a fancy program, but I could easily do it in Word or similar. Find a verse you like, copy it, and paste it into a circle, oval, rectangle or any shape you like in Word. Then pick your font and fiddle around with the size until it's the way you want. I've only got about 10-15 scripture stamps, so making my own suits me very well! If you like, I can send you a PDF with some of my verses or pick some of your own and send them to me, and I'll make them up for you—or anyone else who wants this service.
thanks, Faye & Renata! Thanks for asking the question, Mac4551. I have about a dozen scripture stamps, but I like the idea of doing in a shape and picking a size. I have Word, too, so will have to play around with it.
I make sure my document on screen is at the actual size of the printout. Then I just hold my dies up to the screen to make sure the text fits into the shape. I love being able to pick my own fonts (love fonts!!) and verses, shapes, sizes and background colours. Don't forget you can fill the shapes with colour, and make the text bold, either white or black depending on the background, for another option. You can change the margins inside the shapes, too, for better placement, esp on coloured backgrounds. Have fun!
