Default Another Printer Question..Canon MP620?

I'm new to both stamping and digital stamping....I've tried to read and research the best printer. I'm looking for one that will print on thick card stock and one that won't smear for digital. I know laser is best for digital....but after reading so many suggestions, I'm still confused. I'm wondering if the Canon MP620 would be a good investment? I have read it is great for the thicker card stock but not sure for the digital stamps. Anyone have any advice? Thank you!!!!!

I have the MX320 and it works great (I needed a fax for our business) All my Canon printers have worked great with cardstock.

I have the Canon MP520 and it works great with really thick cardstock (I use 130# for my copics and digis). I find I need to heat set the ink if I want to colour the image right away. I have let sit for a long time (over night - a few days) and sometimes its a hit or miss. If I'm using something other than copics to colour with, I'll give the image a light spray with a workable fixative.

I have a Canon Pixma IP4600. I googled your printer and it uses the same cartridges. Here is a tip - in your printer settings, choose glossy photo paper as your paper. It forces the printer to use the alternate photo black. CLI-221 black. I have NO problems with copics on matte CS when I use that setting.

I have problems with every medium smearing with the regular default printer setting ( matte photo paper or plain paper), even tried fixatif spray and heat setting.

When I use the glossy photo paper setting, I only need to heat set my print or seal it with spray when I want to watercolor.

I loooove my Canon! My camera and scanner are Canons as well ;)
