Yippee!! Here we are at Task 3!! Your pages have really been shaping up beautifully. Can’t wait to see what you do this week!
It’s fine to start late or catch up if you miss a week(s). Just be sure to complete & post each task before you look at or start the next one. It’s more fun that way!
What Is a Digi-Scrap Progressive Challenge?
The objectof the challenge is to complete one page over the course of four weeks by following instructions given in tasks posted each week.
On the first Tuesday of each month, Task 1 will be posted, consisting of instructions for starting a scrapbook page that will then be built upon through additional instructions each week for a total of 4 weeks (Tasks 1-4.)
The idea is to work along with the challenge as the tasks are being announced weekly, each task to be completed & posted prior to starting on the next task. (Once you post a week’s results, you’re finished. Don’t change your work for that week’s task.)
At the end of the fourth week, you should have a completed page!
For additional tips and info. about the Digiscrap Progressive Challenges please go here.
Instructions will be given for a 12x12 page, but you’re welcome to use whatever size page you choose.
*********************************
CHALLENGE ONE - TASK 3. - Add a frame to at least one of the photos, if not already done.
- Add some embellishments around the photo(s) and paper strip (lots or few—up to you!) Definitely make sure you have at least one cluster with a minimum of four items in it.
- Add drop shadows to your elements and papers. (See attached shadowing sample and tutorials below, if needed.)
- Save your page. Be sure to keep the original page with all layers. You’ll need to add Task 4 to it for the final step. Then save as a .jpg & upload to the Digiscrap Progressive Scrap Challenge-Task3 gallery for June 2012 (This is done automatically if you add keyword: DGSCPR001Task3 (no spaces) when filling out upload info.)

Please also post in this thread with a link to your page so everyone can check out your progress and leave you some love! And don't forget to leave some for your fellow challenge-takers too!
Oops...I was adding shadows as I was going along so that part is done already and so is the frame requirement. All I have to do is add the cluster of embellishments...now to find the time to sit and do it!
I figured some scrappers would add shadows as they went along, and a frame(s) too, but for the newer digi-scrappers, shadows might be uncharted territory. I remember when I first started using PSE, I didn't add shadows. Too much information!! lol
I look forward to seeing your embellies and cluster, Terry!
i really struggle with clusters. getting realistic shadows, what bits might be hidden, erasing those bits. sometimes i think things look too stuck on. getting them squished into the page and making it all seem real is a challenge. i dont know if i am ever really happy with it. at any rate......
Well my page is done and the site said my upload was a success, but my page is still not showing up anywhere not even my gallery??? I guess I'll try again later. Love all the pages so far!!

Ladies, I'm SO enjoying everyone's creations! Such variety--it's almost as much fun seeing everyone's takes on the challenge as doing the challenge itself!
I already had the frames and most of the drop shadows. I added a bunch of embellishments. Again, a stretch for me since I really like clean & simple. Having fun playing along. Thanks for putting this together! On to Task #4!

This is being way too busy for me! I guess my style is a little simpler. Strange, I love all of Wendy's LO's! I just can't reproduce them!!! Oh well, done is done! One more task to go! Sure hope it doesn't have too many details in it! Not much room left on my LO!
