OMG! Hope he is ok. I saw a little guy hanging out of the cart yesterday and nearly had a heart attack. My son flipped head first once out of the cart, luckily, my husband caught him mid-air!

Here is a quickie. I stayed up too late and my eyes and brain aren't functioning well. I didn't notice the "make a beachy" card until after I was in the process of uploading this card.

He is ok now Kelly. He was on the front of the cart, and stepped off and the cart stopped short on his sandal and the ENTIRE CART FULL OF STUFF flipped over on him and he had to get some xrays and have two spots on his nose glued shut...thank God for that new dermabond otherwise it would have been stitches...poor baby...it was an ordeal.....but he is alright, he has no broken facial bones and he seems to not have a concussion....but he face is pretty swollen this morning...poor love.
Oh yes we went and had icecream and french fries and chicken nuggets and SODA!!! LOL I was willing to let him have anything that he wanted... it happend at 11:25 am and we weren't out of the ER until almost two PM so we were all exhausted and hungry!
Morning Ladies,
I am freezing just listening to all of your temps. It's supposed to get to 75 here today. Sherry, thanks for the color combo. When I first read it, I thought of water. As soon as I get my DS to school, I'll get started!

Poor guy. Sounds like he needs lots of hugs and cookies today.

Oh my, Keri. Hugs to your little guy. Mine did that at Home Depot, but our cart wasn't so full. It's so hard when they get hurt. I hope he is feeling better soon.
NY weather is enough to make a person go crazy, yesterday 70 and today 30!!! Add gray skies and you have the perfect scenario for seasonal depression!!! Good thing stamping is great therapy!!.
I did 2 this morning, great colors to brighten a day.
Keri, so sorry to hear about your little guy. Oh how those things hurt a mommas heart!!! Glad to hear he is all patched up. Are you okay?? Sometimes I think times like that are equally traumatic on the parents. Go have yourself some chocolate or something
Thanks Barb thanks Tracy.... I was trying so hard not to cry yesterday so I didn't upset Elliott further when the Dr walks in and rather than looking at and taking care of Elliott he tells me why I should n't have allowed him on the front of the cart and why there are safety signs....it was all I could do to just keep it together because I was already berating myself on why oh why had I allowed him to ride on the front??? But I am alright today...I still feel guilty everytime I look at his poor face....

Tracy~ I always pictured you in CA, as in Lodi, CA!!! So I have to ask, what is the Lodi for? (sorry to hi-jack!)
And good-morning ladies!!!

Oh No! Poor baby. What a terrible adventure to have to go through. I'm sure you're a wreck too... Well, you guys take it easy today! Tell him we'll be thinking of him

Kerny, my Lodi is a wee little, doesn't make most maps, town in the Finger Lakes region of NY. It's where I spent my teen years. It is pretty much a dump of a place but it sits on Seneca Lake and has a beauty of a park so it is near and dear to my heart. I think there are several Lodi's around the country.
I am so bad I checked the colors and wanted to get my card cranked out so I could go on with my day (lol!) that I missed everything first ~ prize, what prize?!? I totally missed that in the original thread! Duh! Good thing almost everything I do usually is beachy by nature.
And second Keri!!!!! you poor thing I can't believe that the Dr lectured you!!!!! He must not have any kids, what a jerk. I hope your little guy's ok and I hope you are too! I have 3 boys and we've already done staples in the head, stitches and a broken toe. Stress!!!!!!
You deserve a rak or something!!! I hope today goes tons better!!!
yeah...my 2 year old has a chipped tooth b/c I left him unsupervised in the tub with his older brother. He just bumped his mouth on the faucet. I felt so guilty for a day or 2. Then you get over it. His face will heal and then he'll think twice about where he hangs on the card!
Keri~ You'd think by now that Dr.'s would know that a mother's guilt is FAR worse than any lecture!! Glad that your little guy wasn't hurt worse!!!
Tracy~ How funny! I always thought of Lodi, CA also (hmmmm, could it be because I live near Kerney?!!). Memories are such a wonderful escape!!
And GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!! Hope to get to play...but have let the errands and house go for so long that I really should try to get some of that checked off....but will "reward" myself with breaks looking at everyone's creations!

I hope all is ok with your DS, prayers coming your way.
This challenge was tough for me because I tend to stay in the Earth Elements and Soft Subtles color groups, but it was good for me to get out of my comfort zone a bit! Here is my entry, the colors are washed out in the picture...much more vibrant IRL:

Keri,
Did you take him to the Dr on base? I can't stand those doctors. One time my daughter had a temp of over 103 and they told me that they couldn't see her because they were about to start a mock drill. I took her to a civilian dr. and she had strep throat. By the time we got there her temp was 104 and she was shaking all over. I took her to the ER on base because there were no appts. available with the doctors and it was a Friday afternoon. I knew something was wrong with her and didn't want to go all weekend like that. Sorry, I guess I needed to get that out. I do hope your DS gets better soon. All moms let their children ride on the front of the cart sometimes. What happened isn't your fault. However I do understand how those accidents make you feel. I've been there too. Glad to know both of you are doing better today!
Wendy, I took him to the ER in town, there was no way I was going to bring him on base for this one. The pediatrician here is not the greatest and I knew just looking at him that this was an ER thing...and with how hard he hit his head.....I had to get him to the ER quick...I am glad I was already in town and it was only a five minute drive....
We are military too (AF), and I HATE the base Dr's!! They are so horrid. It is like pulling teeth to get an appointment. Both my oldest and youngest were due for well checks at the beginning of March and I haven't even called yet since I know it will be such a hassel! I took them all in in Feb because they were all really lethargic and had fevers of about 103...of course teh Dr did nothing because he couldn't "see" an infection. ARG!! Just letting you know that I am right there with you!
I made the acetate & tissue from yesterday, and decided that since 2 of the reinkers I used were in today's challenge that I would "go with the flow". Not sure I like the amount of green I used...... and plan to make another card before next weeks' challenge with a beach theme.

I am thinking my boys will not be having their well checks until we get back to Charleston in August just because of how "off" this Ped Dr is here... :(

I am so missing being at home and able to play right away like last week! This is a great color combo - I love BBs and can't wait to get home and try it out (as long as I don't fall asleep for 45 minutes again like last night - going back after vacation is tough!)
