Thanks MamaK for the color challenges. I am technology challenged, no scanner or digital camara, but I do participate in the challenges. I am having a good time and love looking at everybodies great cards.
Thank goodness for Andreasophie (with some help from MamaK too!!)! I've been feeling really uninspired this week (burnt out after VSN?) and these challenges finally got me going. I really like the way this came out - it combines SC28 with CC17 ;-)
Finally! Time to play again a bit today. Here's my attempt with these colors. I had some leftover Lumiere/Pearl Ex mix the other day so I dabbed it all over the cardstock with crumpled plastic wrap for the faux mother of pearl look. I thought it would look like faux turquoise if I brayered on Tempting Turquoise.
I wanted to do the color challenge last night, and had ideas in my head all day. But then started watching "Aviator", and I had to laugh when for the first hour everything in the movie was turquoise and brown! The clothing, the wallpaper, even the scenery had a sepia tone effect with turquoise. Wow! even more ideas!
Unfortunately, it was a long boring movie, so my card had to wait until tonight.
Fortunately, I got to look at all of the wonderful posts from yesterday to really inspire me.
Kimberly, I goofed! I was so excited to do your color challenge I did not double check the colors. I used Chocolate chip and Taken with Teal instead of Close to Cocoa and Temping Turquoise. The colors are very similar, but mine are darker. Hope you do not mind me adding my darker version to your thread?!? I will double check next time. Love your challenges, Nancy
This color combo challenge is a lot of fun. I had a hard time w/ the tearing and tieing the ribbon. Hope you like it! I'm combining this challenge w/ the sketch challenge.
Yea, I get to do the challenge this week! I was on vacation last week and all I could think about was getting my hands on the new catalog and ordering new stuff. How sad is that? Please tell me I'm not alone Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks for looking,
Joanne

Hi
Just wondered if anyone could help me with this one. I have uploaded a card for CC17 2 times now. It did have a couple of comments under it. The first time I got a message from splitcoast saying it had been deleted so I uploaded it again. It had a comment and now I just checked my gallery but it is gone once again! I am not the most computer savvy person so any help is appreciated. Please PM me if you would
thanks,
Kathy
Here's 3 more for these pretty colors. I did "cheat" a bit and add some YoYo Yellow to two of them and some Green Galore to the third. The one also fits the Limited Supplies Challenge this week.
stampkat, the most common reason that a photo gets deleted is because the file name is a duplicate of another photo already in the database. Try renaming your photo with a different more complex name before you upload it again. I usually have a combination of letters and numbers.

I think I got the look right on the inside of this card but I would really appreciate some thoughts on what to do to the front of the card. At the moment it looks like just one plain close to cocoa hand.
