I liked my card lots more than I thought I would as I was not sure how to put these colors together. Thanks for the good push Lindsay to move out of my safe little color box. I really enjoyed this challenge.
Wow! This one was tough for me. I never would have thought to put these together. I don't use sage shadow too often, and I only had some amethyst scraps. It was definitely fun coming up with this one! Thanks!
Here's my first color challenge. After dinner tonight my husband told me to "go to my room" and he wasn't referring to the bedroom. I guess he was happy with the Valentine's dinner I prepared for him and decided to give me some free time.
Here's my sample. Very simple, but I think my DH is thinking about banning me from this site, so thought that I better try one that wouldn't take up much time!!
I've had a busy day, but I didn't want to let the day go by w/o attempting to do the CC for today. Here is what I did...It is still pending as of 10:25 pm eastern time...TFL...
Here is mine pending approval. It is really light in the scan, you can't see the flowers. Much better IRL. DH promised to work on the settings soon for me. I used the rock and roll technique with barely banana and the almost amethyst. I distressed the chocolate chip paper that the flower paper is mounted on. I used the Print Pattern Big stamped in Sage with the purple paper. I heated the ribbon and stamped Joy inside the hardware. Thanks for this great challenge Lindsey. I love all those colors but probably would not have put them together.
I never would have thought to put these colors together, but I really like them. Aren't these color challenges great for the color unadventureous sort like me? These challenges have really helped me. Thanks.

Well, it is almost midnight and I just finished my card for today. I love it. The colors made up so pretty. I want to make more with these 3 colors. If I ever get this computer and programs figured out I am going to try to post cards in my gallery. Just want you to know that the challenges really help. I have 5 or 6 done this week. Thanks for all your work .
I just looked at the card by Laura Judd. Read her comment about the markers and the wcc. I just got my crayons today, and I noticed the same thing. The colors come out different depending on which you are using. I find that the markers are always darker. Hope you had a nice Valentines Day.
Here are my attempts. I had the images already embossed in gold on Chocolate Chip because I wanted to see what they looked like and then I didn't know what to do with them. I used them for this challenge. I made the background paper using the Spotted Background technique. I was hoping to get some feed back from all of the SCS experts and see what I need to do to embellish these to finish them off. What do you think? Thanks.
I didn't like the previous 2 posts. I thought the Chocolate Chip was too dark with the soft pastel colors so I modifed the couple image and made it softer by adding Vellum. I also found some gold cord and organdy ribbon to dress it up a little. Better?
I love looking at all the uploads of this color combo. I am not happy with mine (posted earlier). I am going to go back to the drawing board and see if I can't do better. Thanks everyone for sharing your designs.
Finally got mine done. I combined it with the Sketch Challenge. I had to use Close to Cocoa ink bc I don't have Chocolate Chip (but I do have the paper). I only have Sage Shadow craft, so I used it where I could. These challenges sure are a great incentive for me to keep ordering and buying! LOL!
