Happy Tuesday! Here we are with a new month and a new color challenge!
Before we get started let me tell you the favorite from last week's CC484. NaomiW!
Karen said... "This card is just awesome - I love the sentiment, and I LOVE the way she applied the three colors - the silhouette is fabulous!!!"
Congratulations NaomiW! The code to add the badge to your blog is attached below and your card will also be pinned on our Pinterest color challenge board. Check it out here.
We have two new guest designers this month. Please welcome Vicky (Vicky Gould) and Maura (beesmom). Both of these ladies have been recent weekly favorites. Do join in the challenge each week. If you play along, you may be the next CC favorite and possibly get a chance to guest design with us!
Ready for the challenge now? Here you go!

Dessert: Texture. However you want to portray some texture on your creation. Fibers, Felt, Embossing Folders, Mixed Media, etc.
Please keep in mind, too, that while we list SU colors for the challenges these are just color reference points. Use the closest colors you have. We want everyone to be able to play!!!
Please put CC485 in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge, use a comma to separate them) so we can find your card! If you need help uploading click here.

WOW, I was so thrilled and humbled that my card was chosen last week! Thank you so much! Now to add the badge to my tiny new blog... how do I do it? I have a blogger blog. I know how to add an image, but not sure how to do it when it's in code. HALLLP!
I had fun with this card- adding pearls and gems as adornments, along with a sewn lacy panel and some red and blue fabric strips. Here's Americana Rooster

I used Crushed Curry instead of Hello Honey, and I counted by linen thread as texture. (note to self: next time start with a larger collage, run it through an embossing folder, THEN cut to size. ;) )

Had fun doing a shabby card as it's warm here and it just seemed appropriate- as we are all lounging around in our "shabby but comfortable" togs today. I used a cute dc butterfly from my friend Kathy, and sponged a companion butterfly above it. Added some knotted floss for a border, and did some sewing. Here's Shabby Butterflies

This is a great color combo. Like many, I don't have the new colors yet so I had to sub for Hello Honey. I think mine's a bit brighter if the samples I've seen are accurate. Anyway, here's my card:
I made this abstract background on the day this challenge was posted. Couldn't decide if I liked it, or what to do with it, so I moved on to a different card for the challenge.
Staring at the background for a few weeks, I finally made a card.
